May 9: Accessories

[Will Stanton]

Will was shopping for accessories for a ...certain thing, killing time.

[The Golden Witch]

An extremely large man who was sweating rather profusely stepped up next to Will. His breathing was labored and raspy.

"Listen close," the fat man rasped, "Something...deadly. I may have lost my head there. Sorry."

"Find him," the fat man coughs, "You have...you have...twenty four hours."

[Will Stanton]

"I'm...sorry?" Will asked, confused.

[The Golden Witch]

With a rattling wheeze probes began flowing out of the man's mouth and spreading over his skin in black and chitinous armor.

"Please....kill me..." the fat man manages to rasp out as the armor covers him from head to toe.

[Will Stanton]

"Woah, there, buddy!" Will said, quickly springing back, and getting into a fighting stance.

THAT'S not good.

Slowly the man swung an armored arm at Will, practically stumbling forward towards him.

[Will Stanton]

"WOAH!" Will cried, ducking, looking to see if there were any chinks in the armor...

The armor was very smooth. It didn't look like there was any place Will could get inside.

It's blow missed Will but cracked the ground where it hit. With a roar it swept it's arm around to attack again.

[Will Stanton]

"Right...sorry about this, sir!" Will said, shifting his hands into a sledgehammer, and swining at the armor.

The fat man is solid as a reinforced concrete wall. The hit connects solidly but he just brushes it aside and continues attempting to pound Will into the ground.

[Will Stanton]

DAMN. Schedule practice time IMMEDIATLEY Will thought.

Will continued the dodging and weaving, and then grabbed a fire extinguisher and emptied the thing at the thing

The thing was sprayed all over it's chest as it threw a brutal punch right at Will.

Meanwhile, a figure dressed in a black hoodie and a short plaid skirt watched from a nearby rooftop.

FUCK! Will said, as he went down from the punch---but he wobbled with it, taking most of the force out of it--going down was more reducing force.

When the beast came closer, Will would have a spike ready for it--he hated to it, but he ALSO hated getting his ass kicked.

The thing dived towards Will without any regard to it's personal safety.

[Will Stanton]

Will tried to aim for the shoulder, or something WITHOUT too mmuch, y'know, vital stuff.

The spike drove through the thing's shoulder and it let out a piercing screech, rolling away. It grabbed onto it's shoulder as black blood poured out.

It appeared to be sobbing.

[Will Stanton]

"Listen...it's all gonna be OK," he said, springing to his feet...

The hooded figure leapt down in between Will and the creature, now holding a large scythe. Her back was turned to Will as she walked towards the creature.

Lifting the scythe she brought it down swiftly on the creature, shredding the armor on it's torso in one hit.

[Will Stanton]

Will kept his fists up.

"Who ARE you?"

[Nina Madaraki]

The figure hesitated for a moment.

"Sorry about all of this," a quiet and familiar voice said.

Kneeling next to the creature, she reached out her hand. Slowly the armor started flaking away in large chunks. The wound on his arm closed up and after a moment, the fat man was back to normal and breathing lightly.

[Will Stanton]

"...Nina?" Will said, torn between surprise, anger, shock, terror, and compassion.

...yeah, I don't know what that sounds like, either.

[Nina Madaraki]

"Get him to a hospital," Nina says, "He should be alright."

"And don't get involved."

Nina explodes into a cloud of black butterflies and in an instant is gone from sight.

[Will Stanton]

"...LIKE HELL!" Will said, calling 911 to get an ambulance there....and then calling back home on Campus, to report a Nina sighting.
