April 23rd - The London Observer

[Phaedra]

Phaedra, her carrier-bag clutched to her chest nervously makes her way to Mr. Lynn's office and knocks on the door.

[W Christopher Lynn]

"Come in," he said, working on his computer.

[Phaedra]

"Good afternoon, Mr. Lynn." she says as she steps inside and walks up to his desk.

"I, uh, I think I might have something for you."

[W Christopher Lynn]

"Oh?" he said, looking up. "Well, what is it?"

[Phaedra]

"Well... I'm not really sure to be honest..." she says, putting the photos of Jez and the note that had tipped her off on his desk.

"Someone send me that note and she's who I found there."

[W Christopher Lynn]

"Hrm?" he asked, looking through.

"What's all this then?"

[Phaedra]

"Well they said something about her boss telling her to reward herself and she was paying everything with a credit card. Here, I tried to get a shot of it..." she pulls out one of the photos. "I they're really one person, I think, because she goes to that mutant school and works in the embassy."

[W Christopher Lynn]

"The Genoshan embassy, then?" he said, eying the photo.

[Phaedra]

"Yeah. I'm not really sure what is going on there, but I thought maybe whoever sent me that did and maybe it is important?"

[W Christopher Lynn]

"It's quite a bit of expensive equipment for a college student..." he mused.

"Did you get any pictures of the card itself?"

[Phaedra]

"I tried to. I'm not sure if it's clear enough to work out on the originals." she says, holding out an USB-stick.

[W Christopher Lynn]

"'Girl buys things with credit card' is, sadly, not a news story, though I AM intrigued by the sheer volume of stuff she has purchased..."

[Phaedra]

Phaedra gives a little shrug. "It kind of sounded like her boss was the one paying for it..." she says, still hoping he might at least pay a little bit for the photos.

[W Christopher Lynn]

"That was what I was wondering," he mused, placing the USB into his computer.

[Phaedra]

"And that'd be bad, right?" she asks, trying to sound like it's a rhetorical question, though honestly she's still not all that up to date on how this world works.

[W Christopher Lynn]

"It CAN be, indeed, depending on the policies of the government in question."

[Phaedra]

"So... you're buying the photos?" she carefully asks.

[W Christopher Lynn]

"I will, yes."

[Phaedra]

"Great!" she beams.

[W Christopher Lynn]

"I don't know if we can USE them or not, but we'll take them. We'll see."
