Jess bought two beers and took them back to the table she'd left Nina at.

"What happened back there?" she asked as she sat down.

"I'm....not sure," Nina says, looking thankful for the beer. The entire ride home she'd been kind of on edge.

"Am I not the only one with power worries?" Jess asked. She was thankful Nina had done what she had, but worried at the same time.

The words came out unbidden, and Jess almost wished she could take them back. But only almost.

Nina pauses for a moment, looking nervous with a blush rising to her face.

"I love you too," she finally whispers, smiling a bit.
