Lumis' Office - Sept 18 Morning

[John Hino]

John walked into the office, still in his training uniform.

[Narrator]

Denise looks up from her desk as John comes in. "Good morning, can I help you?"

[John Hino]

"We need to talk to Lumis."

[Rachel is with him]

[Narrator]

"He's not in his office right now, he's in the Cerebro dome. I can pass him a message, or I can let him know that you're here and you can wait."

[John Hino]

He looked to Rachel.

"I'm waiting. You, of course, don't have to."

[Rachel O'Brien]

"Call me when you know what the plan is." Rachel said to John.

[John Hino]

"You can count on it."

[Narrator]

Denise's eyes go unfocused for a bit, and then she looks over at John. "I've let him know, and he says he will be back here fairly soon. It shouldn't be more than thirty minutes."

[John Hino]

"Thank you." He nodded and took a seat.

[Domanic Taylor]

Less than the predicted 30 minutes later, Lumis comes into the office, on his cell phone. "Thank you, madam secretary. Yes, I'll keep you posted of course. Not at all, it was my pleasure. Indeed, I'm looking forward to it as well. And a good afternoon to you as well."

He hangs up the phone, and looks at John. "Genbu, you needed to see me?"

[John Hino]

John rose.

"I need to know if we've found where Ayami was taken. I want to volunteer for the rescue mission."

[Domanic Taylor]

"We have not pinpointed her position conclusively, but we have some leads. As soon as there is a rescue mission, I will consider you strongly for it."

[John Hino]

"Thank you sir. I'm sure you're aware I'm very well-suited for the dark places I'm sure vampires would utilize."

He dropped the formality.

"I can't lose a friend, not like this."

[Domanic Taylor]

"Nobody is losing anyone. We are going to have a rescue mission going before late evening."

[Zachary Flint]

A little uneasy about sitting back and doing nothing, Zach entered shortly after Lumis' arrival. "Good morning Lumis. John. I've come to offer my assistance in finding Ayami."

[Domanic Taylor]

"Replay, correct? You have psychometric powers. Do you require an item to use it, or do you have to be at the scene?"

[Zachary Flint]

"Both work just fine for me. If we have some sort of item any of the vampires dropped then that'd help. If not, just being at the scene I could use my power on just about anything there to track the one that took Ayami."

[Domanic Taylor]

"How far can you track this Vampire? From what I understand, it was moving across rooftops, leaping across streets and such."

[Zachary Flint]

"That would be the tedious part. My power only works in a fifty yard radius but I'm sure I could do some guess work as to where the vampire with Ayami was going by playing on the outer range of my power. No doubt I'd have to get my bearings a few times along with using my powers. If someone was helping me out though, say at least getting up there and helping me follow her path I can slow the the replays enough and use them quickly to get her general path. I have no problem using my power to the brink of exhaustion either, as long as it provides some direction."

[Domanic Taylor]

"Well, it sounds like that might tap you out pretty quickly, so why don't we wait until we have something conclusive from Cerebro, and then use your power to narrow the search."

[Zachary Flint]

He looked down, seeming slightly disppointed. "That would probably be a better course of action."

[Domanic Taylor]

"You'll still help. Unless they're fantastically stupid, we won't be able to pinpoint the location with Cerebro. It's better to make sure you'll be rested enough to actually find her, it'd be even worse to only be able to follow the trail partway."

[Zachary Flint]

"That is true." He nodded and smiled. "Just let me know when you need me and I'll be there. Oh. It'd help..but does anyone know what the vampires looked like? In the meantime, maybe I could see if any of them had been snooping around here, scoping out potential students to kidnap."

[Domanic Taylor]

"From what I understand they are pretty distinctive, all with the same basic appearance. Very pale skin, black hair with blue highlights, and they've always been seen wearing some kind of dark glasses."

[Zachary Flint]

"Okay. Just looking for things I can search for." He nodded. "Then I outta prepare myself for when you need me. I hope can be of some help when the time comes." He bowed his head then turned to John. "Think you could be the one to help me around on the roof tops?"

[John Hino]

"Unfortunately, agility is not one of my talents. I'd be better suited for the rescue."

[Zachary Flint]

"I see. That would of made it easier but once we at least pinpoint any area more I can see if she was taken there or not easy enough." He nodded. "Then I'll be on my way. Please contact me when we're ready Lumis." He nodded to both of them then made his way out.
