Waving over the server, Bear placed the order for two pina coladas, then settled down.

"So, this place is pretty groovy, no? I've never been to England before two weeks ago."

Rachel came back with two pina colodas and a bowl of Monster Munch, which as it turned out, was humorously named, oddly shaped corn chips.

"Thanks" she said to Rachel as she dropped off their order. Veronica sipped from her glass, letting out a soft "mmm" at the taste. "Toronto is pretty neat. I grew up near it. Don't tell a Torontonian that the tower isn't the tallest building in the world though, they'll get mad." She took a small handful of the Monster Munch curiously, chewing on in quietly.

"Hee. I got that vibe in Chicago as well. Only it was worse, because the Sears Tower got renamed a few years ago. They refuse to call it by the new name now!"

"That was mobster town back in the thirties. They used to go to Moose Jaw and get whiskey durin' the prohibition."

"Heh... Yes, damn you for doing your job," he joked. "Well, none of us are too fond of the idea," he said. "At least, not many of the actual survivors. The people that Magneto and his buddies got together to recolonize were all mainline separatists. Remember what I told you about that lady that was trying to set up her grandkids for arranged marriages based on 'genetic potential'? That's the sort of people they called up for it. Most of the people who are really Genoshan were pretty hacked off about it. There was a big drawn out fight about it when news got around that they were planning on paving over the ruins and building right there for the new colony."

"The guy was Magneto's yes-man all through it. He'd show up whenever the mainliners were in trouble anywhere, bail them out, and haul their asses to Genosha. After a few years, he dropped off the map, then a while later he showed up in New York again to teach telepathy for Xavier's. From what my dad told me, the Survivors' Committee was just thrilled about that."
