Having been thrown early, Will had reached there before most of the fliers.

"Naida, right? Let's see if we can't find our way to some of this thing's power sources before the defenses catch us," Will shouted, heading towards one of the big cooling towers.

"Or we can take out some of these guns!"

While Robin approaches one of the hangar bays she tries if she can overload the remaining weaponry on her ride. If she can get far enough the superstructure sacrificing her ride to do as much damage as possible seems well worth it.

Naida's upper body formed out of the liquid pooled on the Master Mold's surface, some of it crystallizing into ice for an anchor. She looked around at the flyers, then at the weapon placements.

"I say we take the weapons first, at least the ones near us. That way, we can concentrate on the power more easily when we get to it, right?" She grinned a bit, trying to remain hopeful about all of this, but from the way she looked back at the flyers again, it wasn't hard to see who she was really worried about.

"Come on, let's take them out!"

"Let's hope they're not water-proofed," Will joked, a (literal) spring in his step as he bounded across the surface of the thing, arms becoming razor sharp blades, beginning to smash at the guns on the surface of the thing.

Talos flew beside Skeiron, his left arm reconfigured into a inexplicably large energy cannon.

"Need a little extra firepower?" he said, aiming.

Skeiron glanced to the side, and smirked. "The more the better, old friend." A small amount sky blue light emanated from the hole in the scabbard, just below the hilt of the blade. Skeiron swiftly drew out the blade and slashed through the air, unleashing an arc of razor wind at the Master Mold.

Postby Narrator » Thu Oct 28, 2010 6:54 pm

Will managed to rather thoroughly wreck one of the carapace guns whose targeting was directed elsewhere. From the porthole it originally occupied, a pair of smaller robots still bearing telltale sentinel traits, but sharing more in the insect-like bearing of the Master Mold arranged. One of them zeroed its optics on Will, and sounded a klaxon.

Similar robots to the ones Will had just witnessed were approaching the edge of the launch bay Robin was pulling into, ready to repair the apparently damaged sentinel. This led to much confusion as the object they were aiming to repair exploded spectacularly as its weapons systems overloaded.

The broadside from Skeiron and Talos knocked out some of the carapace guns on the side opposite Will, from which more repair drones emerged. On that side of the Master Mold, sentinels were starting to queue in the launch bays and take flight to deal with the threat.

"Run, run, as fast as you can..." Will taunted, blade extended as if it was a rapier.

"You can't catch me...." he said, thrusting at the nearest dude--and if, somehow, he managed to penetrate the outer shell after one stab, the point of the blade in the miniSentinal would expand out rapidly, trying to basically deform the thing to death.

Aiden dodged the incoming fire as well he could while keeping his passengers in their seats. The brief lull in weapons fire from the others destroying guns gave Aiden the opportunity he was looking for and swooped down towards the top of the flying Master Mold.

"Hopefully you do not mind a hot landing zone," Aiden said a shot hitting his shoulder joint before he landed onto the carapace with a crash, "Move quickly."

Naida took on the second robot that emerged from the hole. Though she retained a roughly humanoid shape, she chose to stay in liquid form, firing off jets of water from where her arms would be, that would freeze shortly after contact if they hit the robot.

Stan's best approach was from the vector Robin had went in. She'd destroyed one of the launch bays and obstructed another, and thus the repair drones were busy trying to restore launch capabilities while the carapace guns laid down cover fire. Said guns were being picked off by those actually on the carapace, and now by Stan himself, allowing a relatively safe approach.

The first wave of sentinels from the opposite side was otherwise engaged with Talos, Skeiron, and the others for the moment.

Daniel passed under the Sentinel once, doing a quick survey of it. His fire form, along with his energy-sensing power, let him trace the propulsion units under the armor a ways. Picking a likely leg extension near the propulsion, he opened up at full force, meaning to slag through the joint in the armor the leg's servos used to get at the inner workings of that rocket.

Bear, meanwhile, clicked on the autopilot and locked her feet in the stirrups, and went for her satchel.

Anything in her range would soon find itself targeted by a powerful explosive, guided by a nigh impenetrable, brightly lit TK field. It was far more powerful than anyone had ever seen Bear produce, even those from the future. Any psychics would be aware Bear was pushing everything, risking severe trauma with the power she was expelling.

Just after Skeiron tore the arm off of a Sentinel and was about to go in for the 'kill,' one of Bear's projectiles struck it in the chest, exploding violently.

"Damn, Bear, take it easy..."

He moved onto another, charging his saber and jabbing it into the Sentinel's forearm. A blast of wind flew out from a puncture on the other side.

Rob took a guitar out of a case and plugged it into the assembly he'd put together. Turning one of the dials up to "11" he grinned at the enemy overhead.

"Let's rock."

And as he brought the pick down, Mount Wundagore's defenses began firing.

Felana realized that she wasn't going to be all that much help in a mostly ranged fight against things that weren't exactly easily torn apart with fangs and claws, so she'd quickly volunteered herself as a pilot of one of the steeds to anyone who wanted to focus more on blowing shit up. She had a ready and willing volunteer with Melody. They flew through the air wildly, dodging incoming fire and their own allies, Felana intently focused on piloting the steed while Melody bombarded the machines with timebombs. She was no Bear, but she had pretty decent aim--and a good blast radius when she didn't.

More repair drones were pouring out of the portholes on the carapace, trying to herd the invaders away from the guns with their welding lasers, and dragging those among their number that had already been damaged back to the portholes to be repaired.

There was a metallic wrenching below, as one of the turbines clattered to a halt, due to Daniel's efforts.

Welding lazers? Pah.

Will began trying to cut a path through, heading for one of the cooling towers, now hacking and slashing, now shrinking down to go under one, now increasing in mass to barrel through some others.

Bear had a look of serenity cross her face, as she effortlessly seemed to pull projectiles out and lauch them with overwhelming power at a variety of targets: the cooling tower closest to her, the sentinels, the portholes. It was beautiful, in Bear's own way.

The telekinetic power was crackling about her, and her throwing muscles seemed to bulge out more with each throw.

Naida would get zapped be the lasers here and there, parts of her getting reduced to steam...which, thankfully, would reform back into her watery mass a few moments later. Several of the ones that Will didn't get would be splashed by some water fired from her, which would crystallize into ice soon after contact.

Meawhile Robin was rampaging through the already destroyed hangar, picking off repair drones with extreme prejudice to make sure the bay stay unoperational as long as possible while she hacks her way deeper into the structure, occasionally stabbing a wall to get a reading on which direction to turn towards the reactor core.

Skeiron beheaded the Sentinel that he was fighting before with another slash of his empowered saber. If there were any more Sentinels in the air at this time, he'd continue to battle them; if not, he would strike at the hull where he and Talos had struck it before.

John bashed his way through the horde; a mace here, a tail there. The lasers seared away at his natural armor where they managed to bypass the Wundagore armor, but thanks to the dark of night it replenished fairly quickly. Unless the robots came up with a better tactic, the reptilian juggernaut would soon be at the guns.

He weaved and serpentined over the Mastermold's hull, trying to work his way to one of the weapons portholes. There wasn't a lot he could do outside but if he could get inside, well, he did alright last time he got inside a giant robot.
