Robin's Minivan

[Robin Stanton]

"Great, now I have two dads..."

[Will Stanton]

"How...um...

What he said earlier, about me and your...uh, mother...that's not true..." he kind of stuttered, still off-balance.

[Robin Stanton]

"Yeah, not gonna think about that. Not even a little, trust me."

[Will Stanton]

"Um, that's good. Uh...

You see, when two people love each other very much..." he stammered.

[Robin Stanton]

"Okay I'm definitely not having that conversation again."

[Veronica Freud]

"... this isn't possible." Veronica murmured.

[Will Stanton]

"Right, right, you must be...seventeen.

My god, you're almost my age..."

[Aiden Mitchell]

Aiden sat quietly listening to the others disbelief looking rather unperturbed since he'd gone through something very similar to this all too recently. Instead he removed a device from his pocket, and stared at the device's display.

[Robin Stanton]

"Pretty sure that means I don't have to listen to you."

[Daniel Uriel]

"Y'know, I don't know about anyone else, but I'm hearing a lot of 'we're fucking clueless' and not a lot of 'why you all should be listening to us people who tried to kill you,'" Daniel mused, glancing over at Aiden.

[Aiden Mitchell]

Aiden looked up from his device as the device attempted to connect to the internet.

"Who knows they might be taking us into a trap," Aiden said, "Possibly delivering us right into human hands. If any of what they say is true."

[Robert West]

Rob kept his eyes on the landscape out the window. He seemed far more interested in the buildings and debris then in what anyone was talking about.

[Stan Bowen]

"Calm down, everyone. stay clearheaded."

Stan Looked out one of the windows, lost in the desolate landscape.

[Reaper]

"God, I hope I was never that clueless." Reaper muttered.

[Daniel Uriel]

"Yeah, it was kind of dumb," Daniel admitted sarcastically.. "We just got in their car after their friend shot one of us in the head. Of course, granted, we did need transport."

He glanced at Aiden. "Hey, I never asked. Did the Accolytes on your planet have a Cortez maneuver?" he asked idly.

[Robert West]

"If it helps any, you're pretty clueless now," Rob says, reaching into his coat and pulling out a fedora. Putting it over his head he leans back and closes his eyes.

"Wake me up when we get to your secret clubhouse."

[Stan Bowen]

Stan smirked at 'Reaper's comment.

"Give us a few moments, and a couple history lessons. We'll be up to speed in no time."

[Aiden Mitchell]

Aiden turned off the device he'd been using seeing no point in continuing, and nodded.

"I was reading some of the Accolyte materials you gave me after I joined, most of the names are the same," Aiden said laying five fingers out on his thigh, "Of course we will Doctor Bowen."

[Reaper]

"Not much to tell." Reaper said "This is your future. Having an active X-gene has been a capital crime for most of a decade, and if rumors are true, they're working on making having an inactive X-gene illegal too. Our job is to find mutants, and get them to what we laughingly call safety. In the end, its just prolonging the inevitable, but its more fun than sitting around waiting for Sentinels to crash through the roof."

[Will Stanton]

"Oh, God," Will said, again.

[Daniel Uriel]

Daniel nodded. "Completely clearheaded," he said, nodding to Aiden.

Then, running the exercise he'd been trained in to make his mind slippery, he spun in his seat, throwing a punch at Reaper's jaw, small spheres of fire whirling around his hand like a buzz saw.

[Aiden Mitchell]

Aiden moved forward swiftly and drove his hand through the back of the driver's seat at chest level.

[Robert West]

Rob bravely and rashly snorts in his sleep.

[Stan Bowen]

Stan Rolled his eyes at Daniel and Aiden's attack, waiting for the inevitable result.

"Will.." He said, leaning over and whispering, "I think it might be prudent right now to take the form of someone who can pass for a non mutant at a quick glance. I'd suggest my grad student, if I may."

[Reaper]

Reaper activated all of the pain receptors in Daniel's body at the same time, which, among other things, would take the force out of his blow.

[Will Stanton]

"Hrm? Oh, right," Will said, but all he did was swap his hair color to a more natural brown.

"Hey! What the hel..." he started, seeing the Acolytes Assembling.

[Daniel Uriel]

Daniel shouted in pain, but still let the flaming orbs fly at Reaper as he recoiled in pain. "Don't help us or anything, you idiots!" he hissed as he fought (not really successfully) to uncoil his body as it curled up, spasming in agony. Can't exactly copy the damn power if I can't touch her...

[Will Stanton]

Will thought---and then reached out to try to wrap up Daniel.

[Stan Bowen]

"Will, Something flameproof I think."

[Reaper]

Reaper slid into Daniel an Aiden's minds, freezing their bodies in place. "Can we stop this bullshit, please? Otherwise, we'll kick you out and let you deal with the Sentinels yourself."

[Will Stanton]

"Right, Dr. Bowen," Will said, his body becoming more asbestosy, which is probably not the greatest thing to inhale.

[Aiden Mitchell]

Aiden froze with his arm impaling the seat the fire wreathing his arm going out.

[Daniel Uriel]

Daniel glared daggers at Reaper, his mind pushing to fight the influence. I've... beaten... better... tepes... than... you... get... OUT! He didn't try to fight to move. He didn't even try to breath. He just tried to force out his power to burn the bitch in the back seat.

[Will Stanton]

"God damn Acolytes...cut it out!" Will cried out in the struggle.

[Stan Bowen]

"How long until we reach our destination?" Stan inquired, after making sure Daniel and Aiden were restrained.

[Reaper]

I've taken down tougher than you. Reaper replied, as she pulled out her final trick. It always made her feel guilty to do it, but....she cut Daniel off from the part of his mind that controlled his power.

[Daniel Uriel]

Daniel kept struggling against her, trying to do anything. At this point, he was in pretty bad shape, unable to move or use his power because of her, and unable to breathe because of Will. Panic was starting to set in, making him struggle harder.

[Will Stanton]

"God damn it, why can't his brain be as spongey as mine," he grunted, trying further to subdue Dan.

[Stan Bowen]

"Will, could you shift to something less toxic? Asbestos hasn't been used in decades for a reason."

[Daniel Uriel]

Daniel's eyes flashed, briefly and gratefully, to Stan, but then returned to glaring in absolute hate at Reaper.
