"Yeah, I'm sure it would." Chloe said, reaching out and taking Simon's hand. As she did so, the thougth flashed in her mind that no way was she letting Jess get anywhere near Simon.

Simon's cheeks flushed as he felt Chloe take ahold of his hand. His hand was a lot bigger than hers, his long fingers squeezing around hers with a firm strength but being careful not to squeeze too hard. He tried to think of something to say but bit his tongue. He really didn't want to mess this up.

For a good long while, Chloe was content just to walk along, holding Simon's hand. "Thank you for coming here with me." she finally said, quietly "This is one of my favourite places."

[Simon Kipling]

"It's my pleasure. Seriously. I can see why you like it, it's so beautiful. I didn't know until I came here that it's a place I've wanted to go my whole life." Simon gave Chloe's hand a gentle squeeze. "Thanks for sharing it with me."

"You're welcome." Chloe said, smiling at him shyly.

[Simon Kipling]

"I hope someday I'll have something special to show you too." Simon's tail twisted lazily behind him as he and Chloe walked hand in hand. With the exception of his obvious mutation they looked like any other young couple enjoying a walk in the park.

"... is that some kind of giant box trap?" Simon asked curiously, pointing toward what looked like a very risky thing to stand under.

[Chloe Grant]

"Its a concert stage." Chloe replied with a little smile "I suppose it does look a bit like a mouse trap, now that you mention it. The aucoustics are great, though."

[Simon Kipling]

"We'll have to come back when there's a show. This looks like a great spot to just spread out a blanket and have a picnic."

[Chloe Grant]

"Yeah. That'll be fun." Chloe said, smiling at the prospect "I'll drop you an email with the concert listings, if you like."

[Simon Kipling]

"That sounds great. I'm still so wet behind the ears when it comes to this place, I don't know any of the good clubs or sights yet."

Simon smiles and swung Chloe's arm gently. "A nice bottle of wine, some bread and cheeses. Something I couldn't do back home."

"Why not? Don't they have cheese in America?" Chloe asked. It'd be difficult to tell if she was joking or not.

[Simon Kipling]

Simon laughed. "There's cheese on everything but the ham and cheese sandwiches. But you have to be twenty-one to buy wine."

[Chloe Grant]

"Thats just silly." Chloe said "I can pick up the wine, if you like."

[Simon Kipling]

"Then what would I get for you to surprise and impress you? Caviar is out of the question and I don't think there's any cheese quite that good." Simon smiled wide, joking with Chloe.

Chloe smiled "I could get a moderate bottle of wine, and you could get some nice cheese." she teased back.

[Simon Kipling]

"A warm blanket, a few snacks, some chocolate..." Simon's tail wrapped around Chloe's waist lightly, giving her a surprise little squeeze.

"Sounds like a perfect evening to me."

"It sounds perfect to me too." Chloe said, smiling at him.
