Issue 1 Downtime

Amazon walked into the lobby, munching on a peach. Very close observation would be able to tell that the peach had been cut in half, but Amazon's big hand hid the 'seam' from view.

"Getting your vitamins, Amazon?" Came a voice from a nearby speaker.

"You know me, I like to stay healthy," Amazon said with a smirk as she continued to walk, not looking at the speaker. She took another big bite out of the peach.

"You know the policy on outside objects. General's orders..."

"Which is, to be quite honest for a brief moment, why I brought this one in," she said, breaking the peach open and pulling the pit out, careful to remain in the lobby. "Might want to quarantine it... quickly." She dropped the pit on the floor and stepped back.

"...they're not going to find enough of you to put in a wastebin, Amazon."

The lobby began to reshape, barriers slamming on both the way out to the street, and the doors deeper into the hotel.

Amazon shrugged, "If you want to be like that, sure, but that's an awfully sour way to react to someone who could hand you someone from the other side." She smiled, apparently not bothered by Hellsmith's harsh reaction, "Unless you're not interested in listening."

"Start talking, then. If our little guest there wakes up, I suppose you'll just have that much more incentive to subdue him, being trapped with him and all..."

"Chthonia paid me to bring this little gem in. While I didn't really have a problem taking her cash, what I do have a problem with is trusting the little bitch. That's why I told you. The charade with the peach? Just in case she was watching. I know I look it, but I'm not stupid. Now if you'll let me "bust" out of here and make it look good, I can set up another meeting with her." She looked down at the peach pit, "And you can do whatever it is you do with what I assume is probably Legion."

"Yes, best you never have opportunity to find out just what we do with Legion, eh?"

The floor reconfigured, bringing sonic emitters to bear around the peach pit.

"I imagine the experiments are many and varied," Amazon said with a shrug. "The details really don't concern me greatly."

"I've introduced a flaw into the barricade on the front door. Make it quick..."

"Sure thing," Amazon said floating off the ground before flying at the barricade full speed. She slammed into it hard, hoping in the back of her mind that Hellsmith wasn't just playing with her.

It did indeed yield, though since Amazon had emphasized that it had to look good, it wasn't a pleasant trip through the barricade. Outside, sentry guns came online, firing uncomfortably close to where she was standing.

Within, more equipment was brought to bear to begin isolating the peach pit.

Amazon kept moving, obviously trying to avoid the sentry guns. She pushed skyward, trying to get up and away from the place as fast as possible.

And, yes, the pit was Legion--and he tried hightailing it after Amazon.

The sonic emitters fired a barrage at Legion, just as the barricade was starting to reconstruct itself.

"Nnnnngah!" Legion cried, trying to fight through the pain...and the barricade.

The barricade was nearly whole again, and the emitters were moved to try to herd Legion towards a containment device similar to what they'd caught the last one in.
