Issue 1 Downtime

Somehow Sara had already managed to take a wrong turn somewhere and end up in an unpopulated area of the complex. Standing at an intersection she stops, pondering if she should try to find her way back or take a look around the deserted area while she's there.

A familiar figure rises out of her shadow.

"Hello, Mistress," Onyx says coldly, a note of anger in her voice.

"Onyx!" she lets out in a startled gasp.

"Yes, ma'am," Onyx says, her voice filled with quiet anger, "Onyx. Your pretty little pet Onyx."

"Don't you fucking lie to me," Onyx snaps, "All the pain and humiliations you heaped on me? Did you think it was funny? Did you enjoy it?"

"I n-never... what? I..." she babbles, aside from being caught by surprise by Onyx beinghere her accusations do the rest to utterly confuse her.

"You think I enjoyed you using me as your husband's little toy?" Onyx hisses, her hands slowly melting into long claws, "You think I enjoy you forcing me and Alyson apart?"

"You ruined my life. And now I'm going to ruin yours."

"I'd never do something like that! I had a hard time making you do my laundry for crying out loud!" she shouts and staggers backwards while her body turns to stone.

Onyx tries to keep a straight face, but falters, breaking into a fit of giggling as her body forms back to normal.

"You are so easy!" Onyx says with a laugh.

"I... wha?" she stares at Onyx, her stoney defense slowly dropping. "That's not funny, Onyx!" she complains, although it's more born out of realizing her own gullibility than actually being all that angry.

"It definitely is," Onyx says, hugging Sara, "How are you?"

"Okay maybe a little..." she admits, hugging Onyx back. "And I'm as good as you can expect when you fall through time into a dystopian future, I guess." she adds with a faint smile.

"Waaait a second. When did that happen?" she asks, looking at Onyx' hand.

There's a moment of silence while Sara tries to decide if she should ask the question that's on her mind.

"Do you feel bad about the time you... you know..." she says eventually, gesturing at Onyx neck, "With the collar?"
