John was sitting on his future self's old bunk, looking at the objects he had kept. His father's antique netsuke, a happy picture of him and Kaylee, and a necklace belonging to his sister.
"I hate this..." he sighed.

On her way from Will and Sara's room Robin passes John's door and after a moment's hesitation stops.
