The Dragon Storms the Castle

In the case with the money, Apophis had been provided with exact coordinates to the hidden facility he'd be attacking.

Security was tight. Armed guards surrounded the only entrance to the underground facility. And from the looks of things, whoever was paying them was shelling out some serious money for top of the line equipment.

The entrance was built into the side of a mountain and was surrounded by guards. Additionally, the area was filled with watch towers with snipers and spotters keeping an eye on all approaches.

A howling hurricane wind suddenly picked up and lashed against the facility, enough to make aiming for the snipers extremely difficult if not impossible. Then, from the night they came, striding toward the ill-fated fortress with diabolic impunity. Bullets flew uselessly off their mark, rockets veered wildly only to be thrown back upon the facility, and still they drew closer.

"Hit them now Meggido," Apophis commanded. The small man next to him stepped forward and put his hands together. As he slowly pulled them apart, a luminous red sphere grew between them. As it grew to the size of an exercise ball, he raised it over his head.

"Boom..." the man grinned impishly as he let it fly toward the entrance, hastened by the wind. A massive blast decimated the guards and tore open the gate.

They had arrived.

The entrance led down a long hallway and straight into a large freight elevator. Their arrival had apparently taken out all the guards in the corridor as well. Alarms blared and a warning came over the PA system in Mandarin.

"<Intruders have breached the facility! Please secure all projects and proceed to safe rooms! This is not a drill!>"

"See, now I'm hungry for Chinese," Seven smirked with a giggle as the team approached the elevator.

Apophis nodded to a blue haired woman. She touched the code panel and circuit-like veins rippled under her skin. The door opened and they descended.

The elevator descended quickly for a several minutes before coming to a stop in a large open warehouse like area.

As the doors slid open, guards began opening fire on the group.

Apophis took point, his darkforce armor rendering bullets useless. Glowing red blades, shaped much like sevens, arced around him, butchering the nearby guards one by one. Smaller red spheres followed, peppering the area with explosions.

It was a massacre. In less then a minute, the well trained and equipped guards were a pile of corpses and red streaks on the floor.

Around them, the complex was immense. The loading area led into several different hallways and offices filled with scientific equipment, computers and files. The loading area itself was filled with large shipping containers filled with broken down machinery and archaeological artifacts.

"Seven, make sure no one leaves," he ordered. All but Seven proceeded to the security office.

Soon a trail of corpses paved the way to the office. Inside, Apophis overpowered the guards inside, crushing the last one's skull with one hand. The woman hacked the system, quickly overrode security doors and other defenses, and opened the way to the mainframe.

"I know the way now. We're good to go," she reported.

"Excellent work Trojan," Apophis grinned. They moved on.

The group's objectives were in two different areas.

The scientists were currently located in a panic room in the western part of the complex. They were protected by armed turrets, a small contingent of disposable guards and a large security door on it's own separate security system.

The data was in the mainframe, in the northern area of the complex. It wasn't as heavily guarded but would require some computer skills.

Apophis tapped his earpiece. "Seven. Skoll can handle the stragglers. I've got a tin can that needs opening."

"Meggido, go with Trojan. Seven and I will take the scientists," he said. Meggido and Trojan proceeded, and when Seven caught up so did Apophis.

As Apophis reached the garrison protecting the door, one of the guards shouted.

"You do not know what you are doing! This facility is under the protection of Madame Bai Hu!" The man shouts, the other guards looking nervous but holding their guns on Apophis and his group.

He just laughed. "Foolish man, I am Apophis... and I fear no one...." he grinned savagely as he rushed them. He tore through the guards and turrets and lifted the man who dared address him so boldly by the throat.

"Give her Xuan Wu's regards when you meet her in Hell," he grinned before biting the man's face off.

"Get the door Seven," he said, dropping the man and licking his chops.

Seven's blades went to work.

It wasn't long before the door was open and they were facing down a small group of terrified scientists pleading for their lives in various languages.

As he finished messily slaughtering the scientist, he'd get the signal that the data had been recovered.

"Another job well done," he smirked as he walked away, Seven following with an insane cackle.
