Power:
Kathrin's power is the ability to manipulate the gravitational pull her body (or parts of her body, like her hands) generates.
This works in both directions, being able to increase the pull dramatically or reverse it, causing her to produce a repelling force against matter. The most obvious application is that she's able to fly by balancing the reversed gravity against the earth's pull. The higher she goes the more exhausting it becomes though and giving someone a ride requires some serious holding on not to be pushed away as well. Right now her maximum is somewhere around 50 meters up, beyond that it becomes exponentially harder to stay up.
The second aspect she has some familiarity with is using it to brawl. Either by literally drawing the target into her punch/kick to make it hard to avoid or by inverting it as a strike lands to put more force into it, having a good chance to knock anyone with base-line human footing/strength back considerably.
Naturally her body is immune to the effects of the gravitational pull itself, but it doesn't prevent her from hurting herself by drawing things in with too much pull.
Unless she has an already strong gravitational body to work with (like the Earth's gravity for flying) the range of this effect is limited. At 5 meters it is only a slight tug at most, 2 meters takes effort to resist and 1 meter or less takes super-human effort to withstand the effect. (As a general outline, not exact numbers/cutt-offs) For objects it depends on their weigth. If she exhausts herself she could propably push a ton or hold up a collapsing ceiling for a bit.
Side effects include never dropping pens or other things, decent footing and one mean hand-shake.
Personality:
Kathrin's is pretty energetic and brash with a bit of a wild streak.
She's usually a cheery person, but can be a bit annoying at times and has a bit of a sarcastic streak that can get on people's nerves. She usually notices when she's about to push it too far though and isn't intentionally set out to rile people up too much.

At 5'9" Kathrin checks in at the upper end of average, a normal if curvy figure at about 140 pounds. Her wiry copper hair is cut short.
Background:
Born and raised in Hamburg, Germany Kathrin spend the usual 'normal' childhood in the city and occasionally at her grandparents farm, much to her annoyance. At age 14 her power set in when she threw a teenager-fit and managed to wreck half the living room. After that she finished her education at a boarding school that, while not directly teaching power control, at least offered a program for mutants to get enough grip on their powers to be able to refrain from accidents.
She continued to experiment beyond that on her own and did surprisingly well, although the lack of actual training left her somewhat undisciplined about it.
Getting the chance to continue her education and actually further her powers she didn't hesitate to pack her things and fly to London.
((I wasn't sure if there's supposed to be any institution like that in the EU in the MU, but I figured any civilized country would want 'some' way to at least prevent people from exploding all over the place. xD))
