Name: Winston Sharpe
Codename: Hazard
Country of Origin: Australia
Age: 18

Power Explanation: He absorbs kinetic energy on impact, removing it completely from its source and storing it in his body which converts it to thermal energy, storing it in his body before releasing it back out in an explosion relative to the amount of energy absorbed. Due to the fact that walking and other everyday activities generate some kinetic energy he almost always can use his powers, though it runs out fairly quickly.

Winston, thanks to years of training, has quite a large degree of control over his powers, being able to concentrate where the explosions are generated on his body and it's power usage, allowing for him to creat pin-point explosions to maximise the destructive effect.

History: Born in Australia, Sharpe was an only child and lived a relatively normal life until roughly a week after his sixteenth birthday, where he walked in on his father with another woman. Disturbed and outraged, Sharpe left, his father hot on his heels attempting to explain his actions only to witness his son be hit by a car outside his house. His father rushed to see if his still standing son was all right, however then Winston “exploded”, practically tearing him apart. Now confused fear outweighed Winstons anger and he ran from the scene, hiding at a friends house, where he was eventually caught by authorities. The Australian Legal System, still unsure how to deal with mutants, claimed Winston was a danger to society and himself and kept him locked in a specially built cell intended to deal with his destructive powers. Several mutant rights activists lobbied heavily against this action, and the sentence was changed to imprisonment until Winston could learn how to control his powers, something he was helped with by a pair of Australian Mutants who taught him to control his release of energy to an acceptable degree. After being released Winston's mother bought him a plane ticket, not wanting him in her house, to go to England where he had relatives and could join the Xavier Institute in London.

Physical Description: 5 ‘9, Caucasian, Atheletic, has a long black ponytail.

Personality: For the most part Winston is outward going, joking and fun-loving. Although often thinking perhaps a little too highly of himself to the point of being narcissistic, he does so for the most part to keep his own spirits out of spiraling into a depressive breakdown for killing his own father and failing to live up to the expectations of both himself and others. Winston dreams of becoming a success in every sense, wealth, fame and respect.

What kind of limitations does Winston's abilities have?

Well, he hasn't explored the maximum of his powers, namely because the pressure it exerts on him gets too much after a while. I'm not really too sure on it's strength though in solid figures, he should be able to pull off loads of fairly weak explosions that he'll probably couple with punches and the like for effectiveness or instead a massive one capable of tearing apart your average one story house, though this is his current extreme and will leave him completely drained, taking ages to build back up his energy. I can change any of this if needs be.

A lack of solid numbers is fine, I just really wanted an idea of what he can do really so I can put him in the context of the other students.

Just for my own clarification, his power is based entirely on touch for both absorption and delivery? That seems to be the case based on the description, I just don't see it explicitly stated anywhere.

Yes, it's a similar mechanism to Sebastian Shaw and Strong Guy, except that Winston absorbs every impact down to the molecules of air hitting him as he passes by, which let's him build up his energy slowly but constantly, and it's sort of like that for deliverance, the energy is completely released when it's expelled at a point on his body so he can't "throw" explosions like Boomer, which makes it most effective when he's touching something.

Is there an upper limit to how much force he can gather? Would it be detrimental to his health if he didn't use his abilities and just let the kinetic energy build up inside of him?

Yea, the pressure that is exerted from within by the energy increases with the increase in energy, which basically means it'll hurt him alot if he has too much, which is why he'll have to ease the pressure by exploding a little every so often, usually by the time he's built his power half way up to the previously mentioned maximum explosive size he'll have to let loose a few fireworks as by then he starts to feel like the energy is pushing him open, though he can keep it in for much longer and hold much more force when nessecary it will hurt.
I'm tossing up with the idea of heart-failure, or just keeping that as one of his fears.
