Name: Connor Marshall
Age: 18

Power: Connor creates force fields. He can create them in any size, shape and location he desires. The force fields obey his mental commands, so that they can either be stationary, move per his mental commands, or freely floating, able to be moved by other people. He is able to easily create a force field large enough to cover himself an three people in a dome, anything larger is a strain and tires him.

Personality: Connor is extremely protective of himself and his friends. He isn’t exactly an overbearing person, but he has a strong need to be in control of the situations he finds himself in.

Description: 5’11”, close-cropped blonde hair, blue eyes, fairly broad build.

Background: Connor is an orphan, who grew up in orphanages in London. He was reasonably well educated as he grew up, although his life didn’t exactly leave room for hobbies or interests.

He was bounced between orphanages a couple times, none of them any better than the others. While there would, of course, be workers in each that cared for the children, there were just as many who tried to take advantage of them. Connor’s power emerged while he was protecting his friend, Morgan, from the abuse of the orphanage staff. After a few power-related incidents between them, X-Corp’s London branch finally took notice and stepped in, taking custody of them. After completing their high school education, they were placed at the newly opened Xavier Institute in London to begin their college courses.

Now an adult, Connor is enjoying his newfound liberty and independence from the system. He's taken to hanging out in pubs for Football games, and for Football brawls, and for any other roughhousing that happens... well, you get the picture. He's currently working as a backup bartender at the school's pub to get experience for when he graduates to manage, and hopefully own, his own pub, where his patrons had better bloody well respect that Newcastle United can kick their pansy team's arses.

How much force can the field repel? Falling beam? Speeding car? Speeding bus? C4 explosion? Military morter round or missile? More?

Let's see... in order? Yes, yes, not easily, it would drain him but yes, and not completely.

To elaborate a little, the mortar and a missile he'd probably be able to either block the impact of or deflect its impact somewhere else, but that's going to drain him enough that it'd be hard (or impossible) to block the explosion.

He isn't going to be an X-Team character, so his force fields can work with the power of Plot if it's needed.

Well everything here works with the power of plot. Anyway, it sounds good to me.

How complex shapes are we talking? Basic shapes and the like or Green Lantern "anything you can dream up" sort of thing or somewhere in between?

Basic stuff, at least for now. Green lantern stuff is fun and flashy, but Connor's a more straightforward kind of guy with how he deals with a situation.
