Power Explanation: Trev has tremendously powerful vocal chords capable of producing deafening shouts. These sonic blasts seem to generate waves of concussive force capable of moving objects or causing some property damage. (He could probably total a small car with a focused shout at short range)
In addition to his vocal chords, his ears seem to be especially resilient, though no more sensitive than any normal human. While his voice is currently the loudest thing he's been exposed to, Trev is not harmed by his own voice, and is unlikely to be affected by extraordinarily loud noises
History: Trev was a quiet, geeky kid living alone with his grandmother in the suburbs of Chicago after his parents died in a car accident. It all changed once he sent his high school’s star quarterback flying into a trophy case with nothing but the sound of his voice. A local pariah, he was expelled, and soon enrolled in the Xavier’s Institute even though he could’ve much more easily attended the Academy of Tomorrow.
While at Xavier’s he learned to control his power and came out of his shell quite a bit. Enduring multiple attacks on the school and having to work together with your classmates for sheer survival helps with that at least a little bit. By the time his senior year rolled around, he was honestly a bit tired of the excitement that goes along with living alongside a bunch of mutants, so he focused his college plans on regular schools where he could learn to teach mutants and non-mutants alike.
Fast forward a year, and Trev already sorely missed the dangerous though exciting life at an Xavier school. He went through three roommates at the University of Illinois, dealt with constant bullying from classmates and professors alike. Tired of it all, enticed by the possibilities of life abroad (“wait, you mean I can drink legally there?”), and confident that at the very least, he knows a few people at the school, he’s applied to transfer to XU.
