William "Gwion" Stanton

Allright, I'm new at this, as I'm more used to DC-type power levels. If I'm still too high or if I overdid it and went too low, let me know.

Name: William "Gwion" Stanton.
Age: 19

Power: Shapeshifting. Will's body is, in it's normal state, actually a form of protoplasm, which he can alter to suit his needs--within reason. He has limited mass control--generally speaking, he can get to about double his mass at will, and around triple in a pinch, but anything more than that is likely to over-fatigue him, quite possibly knocking him out. Oddly enough, reducing in size/mass doesn't seem to have these limitations. Within these limitations, he has quite a bit of freedom--he can alter his appearance to suit his imagination, change his general shape and size, as well as alter his body's makeup for a while (who needs a pair of brass knuckles when you can have...well, brass knuckles).

He can NOT copy other people's mutant abilities, nor does he have a photographic memory--if he's trying to imitate someone, for instance, it's not automatically a perfect copy. Moving parts are also right out--far too complex. He has experimented with liquids and gases, to generally poor results all around, so solid objects are the key. Too much exertion (increasing mass too much, changing forms too rapidly) will tire him out, fast. He's likened changing forms to running the hundred-yard dash--a lot of energy exerted in a very short period of time.

Non-mutant abilities: Will is creative, and uses that to his advantage when dreaming up shapes to take. He's also a decent actor, deciding to major in it. On the physical side, he's taken some tae kwon do, but he's actually quite rotten at it, although he's always been decently athletic, even before being able to make it so. Above average intelligence, coasting by with mostly Bs in high school.

Physical Description: Well, it changes, but in his normal form, Will's about five foot ten, 150 lbs, blue eyes, light complexion. The one oddity he seems to keep whenever possible is the color of his hair--a shiny, green-silver color which he calls the result of too much experimentation. Other than that, there's nothing about him that would jump out at you in a crowd. Wears jeans and a t-shirt, which may not be the best idea when one is constantly changing one's mass, as he has yet to find the Hulk's tailor.

Personality: Generally easy-going, preferring to keep the peace rather than prolong an argument. Can be a bit guarded at first, but opens up once you get to know him. Slow to anger, but slow to come back down, as well--unlikely to let bygones by bygones, but equally unlikely to end up punching it out. Not at all adverse to using his shapeshifting to his advantage in relationships, be them friendships or rivalries.

Background: Will was born and raised in the Buffalo region of New York. Raised in a relatively normal, two-parent, loving family, his life until he turned 15 was generally unremarkable--little league baseball, tae kwon do classes, decent grades in school. At age 15, however, his mutation slowly began to manifest itself--starting with subtle changes in height, weight and appearance at first filed into a mental bin marked "puberty", before it became clear that Something, in fact, Was Up. It wasn't until Will's...let's say "remarkable"...performance in a school play (later covered up as "remarkable makeup in their production of "Damn Yankees", as the lead seemed to literally deage in front of the audiences vary eyes) that his parents realized that Will couldn't stay in public school, as he was rather swiftly ostracized for being some kind of freak by the majority of the student body. This was a bit of a blow to Will's ego, as he thought he was such an exciting and wonderful person that everyone would just accept his new abilities, and he's been a bit more guarded since then. Will's parents sent him off to a boarding school, where Will learned both a touch of discretion and control over his powers. Despite sending him off, Will still keeps in constant touch with his family, who are supportive if concerned over his decision to enroll in Xavier's London Campus for college, in a drama major. Ironically, he did it more to be in a huge city and close to the West End, with the "school for mutants" thing being a sort of a side-bonus, but he'll be more than happy to be able to more publically use his abilities, as he finds them, quite frankly, a hell of a lot of fun.

I dunno, that's what i got, but's late, and I'm-a-tired.

Well, it's based on mass more than anything else--remember, he can't really go more than twice his original mass without serious effort so, for instance, being made entirely out of steel is pretty much right out, unless he's about 2 inches tall, but he could make his hand steel.

I'm not sure of the atomic weight of adamanteum, but I'd imagine it'd be roughly the same scenario :)

Just posting an idea for Will's parents, as I work on them some--I'm satisfied with Rita, not Max quite yet. He's not jolly enough.
