Power Anita's power is essentially a mutant-powered sense of touch. Though it was not very useful to her in the past, it has since matured into a very useful ability. Anita's power allows her to extend her sense of touch outside of her body, so that she can feel everything around her as if she was touching it. This allows her to dodge attacks with supernatural grace, and gives her amazing accuracy whenever swinging or firing a weapon. As a side effect of this ability, her body temperature will change to become the average of whatever area her touch has extended into. Thus she's always comfortable in an area she's touching. Currently her sense of touch can extend outward to the level of a city-block, but that's her maximum range and she's hard pressed to maintain such an effort for long. A more normal area is about 100 feet out in all directions.

Anita's power has a few drawbacks. She can be easily distracted by new sensations, and when extending her senses out, she loses the ability to dampen the input of sensations on her actual body. That means that a light scratch can knock her unconscious from pain overload, when her senses are extended outward. When she's not extending her touch outside her body, she can deal with minor injuries easily enough.


Description: Anita is a Caucasian girl with long brown hair, and green eyes. Her face is more rounded, and her skin has a light olive tone, implying her Mediterranean heritage. She's in very good shape, athletic and toned, though she retains some feminine curves. She's conscious of local fashion, and tries to dress like a typical Londoner, but her preference is for 'western' style clothing, boots, cowboy hats, and jeans. Due to the way her mutation affects her, Anita typically wears as little clothing as she can get away with.

Personality-wise, Anita is gregarious and straightforward, preferring to say what she feels and define things as she sees them, rather than beat around the bush or try and be subtle. Her mannerisms are larger than life and exuberant, which usually wins her friends among extroverts and annoys many introverts.


Background: Anita was born in Idaho, on a cattle ranch owned by her parents. She grew up privilaged, but learned to work hard helping out with the ranch. Around her 16th birthday, her mutation manifested, and drove her into a near-coma as she was overwhelmed with sensation. After about five rounds of doctors, her parents were referred to the Xavier Institute. Anita was helped out of her sense-induced coma, and quickly became enamored of the idea of joining an X-Team.

Academically, Anita was a poor student, and still is, but she manages to squeak by with grades just high enough to keep her in the X-Team programs that she cares about.
