Auxiliary Team Insertion Point - Genosha Memorial Park

One of the boys appears to be the leader, or at least spokesman of the group.

"Yeah, my dad drives a really big truck! We live over there."

The boy points, and anyone following the motion will see a pretty conspicuous group of men, walking down the street and not giving ground to anyone. The mutants who're on their way to work have to get off the sidewalk into the street to go around.

Will walks up to the statue, and counts paces off to the bench where Marcus and the others were.

He then walks back to the statue, and marks the same number of paces off at roughly a 90 degree angle.

"This looks like a good spot."

Getting down on all fours and closing his eyes, Will's form begins to shift and twist around, finally ending up in a duplicate of the park bench across the way.

The last change was a plaque emerging from the back of the bench, reading "Please do not disturb the monument. Thank you."

"Ah. Well then. If there is any trouble today, try to make it home, but don't get caught by any of those strangers. If you can't make it out, stay close here instead and my friends will protect you," he gestures to Marcus and the rest of the 'home squad'.

The boys get nervous at the prospect of those angry strangers, but the spokesman kid says, "Are you guys gonna fight them now?"

Nina stands at the bench, just casually looking around with a placid smile.

Go.

Two larger probes skitter off of her, disappearing somewhere around the monument.

Rachel took a seat on the bench, sipping her coffee as she expanded her mind. She wasn't actively doing anything with her power, just observing with all of her senses.

As the thugs approach, the kids get skittish and hurry off toward the relative safety of a corner grocery store.

He nods agreement to Constantine, "We don't want to start a fight, but we won't let them hurt anyone. Go on now, they might get rough." And he makes a sweeping gesture to encourage the kids to scram off in a safer direction.

The thugs number about eight, and they are headed directly toward the park. As they go, they swagger and jeer at the locals.

Juma glances around to see if a second group is approaching or not, then moves off at a fast pace to the interlopers. He covers ground with a long stride, hurrying without running.

"Okay Captain." He said as he watched Constantine fire off into the sky. He chuckled at Nina. "Nah. I do have Uno cards back at the dorms."

He set the bag down beside him. He was honestly surprised at how hardcore these group of thugs though they were. They really needed a good smack.

The thugs slow up when they see Juma approach. "Lookit that one. Whatdya think, his dad was a tomcat?" The group laughs uproariously.

He looked over at the group Juma was approaching and pointed at them. "Assholes?"

Juma looks evenly from one to the next, then snorts, "My mistake, I thought there might have been a danger here." And he shakes his head, apparently losing interest and starting to move off.

The thugs keep going, ignoring Juma in favor of making directly for the park.

Somewhat against his own judgement, he follows the assignment given to him by Constantine and moves along the perimeter of the park on a patrol. He occasionally stops and stands stock-still to listen and always keeps an eye on the group of thugs that has entered.

Nomic, if that group starts anything, can you give them something suitably unpleasant to think about? Con radioed though, keeping an eye out for any other signs of trouble.

Rachel couldn't help but smile a little as she reached out and connected with the minds of all of the thugs. If they tried to piss on the statue, they'd find they couldn't.

As his circuit doesn't reveal any additional hunters on the prowl, Juma tightens the angle of his search so his path will bring him closer to the memorial again. "I don't see anything else incoming, I'm going to support the main group at the memorial."

"Yeah, just keep up the yappin'. You'll get quiet soon enough."

Rachel counted down from ten, slowly, reminding herself that they were under strict orders not to throw the first punch.
