"Mister Lynn, I've just said that lethality isn't something we teach these teams. I don't mean to be rude here, but it's difficult to feel that this isn't a deliberate mischaracterization. I'd hoped we were above that."

"It may not be something you teach, Ms. McManus, but it's an inevitable end result of having paramilitary units on the streets of London."

"And during that time, I'm sure you also had classes in how to play the piano, or basketweave underwater, or on the history of English literature, yes?"

"Mister Lynn, I'm certain more than a few policemen have pursued other schooling part-time."

[Narrator]

"Ms. McManus is correct," John said, "There are only 2 training sessions a week, so there would be nothing stopping somebody from taking other classes."

"No, a number of police trainees have taken other classes part time. Our police force are full-time professionals. And when in university, we don't unleash them on the streets.

You're telling me you don't train them in lethal force, but from documents submitted to various government officials giving your X-Teams permission to work, we have one Kevin Gravis, who is still active, walking around with some kind of laser-sword as his one and only talent. We have Byrna Cooper who is essentially a human catapult--her power is to throw objects at lethal velocity with lethal accuracy. We have Calvin Strong, who carries a variety of firearms.

How do you expect us to believe that there isn't a very strong risk of lethal force there?"

"Byrna Cooper has four years of training under her belt. She is easily one of our most experienced team members. Calvin Strong has only been sanctioned to bear firearms against nonliving opponents, such as the Sentinels and alien robots which have attacked London. I find it particularly interesting that you've singled out Kevin Gravis, as he was recently on a mission in which he saved the entire Parliament and Princess Louise, a feat for which he was recognized by the crown and recruited for the government team known as Excalibur."
