Constantine McGraw wrote:"Gwion, can you see and/or hear when shifted like that? I'm assuming speech is out of the question?"

"I keep all my senses in that form. Can't speak unless I've got a mouth, which sometimes tends to throw off the sense of authenticity, y'know?"

Turning to Nina, he adds "Attatch...where"

Con nodded as the answers came in.

"Nomic, mindspeaking first. Can you relay mind to mind? I'm hoping it won't be neccessary today, but if Shaman has to shift to one of his non-speaking forms, I'd like to be able to maintain communication if possible."

"I'd be able to mindspeak to Shaman, and pass it on to someone else. There'd be a lag of a second or two either way. Maybe as much as three or four, depending on the range."

Juma blinks at Constantine's question, as most of his knowledge of biology is which parts taste best. "Perhaps we should move out and finish this discussion in the park."

"Well, let me tag you all first," Nina says, producing a very small probe for each member of the team.

He nods to Nina, kneeling down so she can settle a probe onto the nape of his neck or elsewhere on his bare scalp, unless she has a better choice of locations.

Marcus stood by, waiting to see if Constantine had any specific questions on his power. Marcus explanation of his power was fairly short and sweet. He could increase the size of both organic and inorganic beings or substances by up to five times. Along with the Energy amplification, which he could increase about up to three times it's power or capacity and be used on himself or anyone else in the group.

((Ok, now Marcus is online and had a chance to catch up... Assume he did the whole "this is what I do" spiel when everyone else did.))

Con smiled. "I'm no biologist, but I've picked up a few things here and there."

"Ok, anyone that needs it, grab some coffee on the way out, and lets get moving. Amp, I want you with Nomic and Trauma Pack, they're the most likely to need your support. The rest of you, I have some ideas, but we'll check the situation when we get there first."

Fwoosh! The X-Team van takes everyone to Genosha park, where things look pretty calm at the moment. Just the wino under the bench, and some people getting off to work.

Juma tests his communication earpiece out en route. Once in the park he stretches and focuses on improving his senses, borrowing the acute hearing and sense of smell from feline DNA. His facial features grow more feral at the same time, with pronounced fangs and longer, tufted ears.

He grinned at Will's response. "Thankfully, that's not the case at the moment."

He said, hopping out of the van. He moved off to the side and took a deep breath. Orange surges of electricity surging up and down his arm.

Ever the hunter, Juma looks around the park with a practiced eye for high ground and ambush points. "The monument will probably be a focus point for vandalism or attack. There is not a lot of cover, we should be able to watch the main entry points easily enough."

Juma blinks at Nina; it doesn't take a telepath to tell he's having second thoughts about wearing a 'probe' from the crazy woman. He mutters something under his breath in Swahili about the spirit-touched and continues his examination of the area.

He chuckled at the others' comments. Nina had to know her shit if she worked in the infirmary for so long. He was pretty sure he could trust her.

"Nina. Rachel. Just let me know if you guys need me. If things get bad, it maybe better if I power you guys up in the beginning. You'll expend the extra energy and power first before your own and after awhile I could always go at it again."

A group of kids, mostly young boys, come running over to see the X-Team and their van, oohing and ahhing over the shiny new car. Most vehicles in this area are anything but new.

One of the little boys directly addresses the group, with that tactless directness that only kids can muster. "So how come there's so many of you X-Men?"

Con stepped out of the van, pulling his coat on over his uniform as he did so and grabbing the equipment satchel with the first aid kits and other gear.

"Ok, ground rules. We're operating on a reactive basis, if stuff goes down, they get the first punch. At that point, only use as much force as is neccessary, nothing lethal, nothing thats going to cause permenant damage.

"Amp, Nomic, Trauma Pack, find a spot you're comfortable in and stay alert. Genbu, you're their first line of defense if it goes down. Shaman, I'd like irregular roving patrols if you can. Gwion, make like a tree, or whatever else is going to be inconspicuous. No harm in having our numbers underestimated."

Seeing the kids approach, he paused.

"I'll get airborne as soon as those kids clear off." he finished, pulling a pack of smokes out from his coat and lighting up.
