Sept 29 - Dinner

[Will Stanton]

Will looked innocently at Sara and took a sip of his soda. "Well, I meant just letting you call all the shots, forgetting the party thing.

Now I'm wondering where your mind is going."

[Sara Stanton]

Sara's cheeks turn bright red and her salad suddenly becomes extremely interesting. "I just... not... I mean..."

[Will Stanton]

Will smiled and gave Sara a kiss on the cheek. "Don't worry so much, will you? You're cute when you blush and all, but still. No need to go all scarlet. And no need to expand on what you're thinking, if you don't want to."

[Sara Stanton]

She glances at John and Kaylee and mumbles. "Even if I did I definately wouldn't do it here..."

[Will Stanton]

Will raised an eyebrow, getting the idea if not the exact message.

And stole a bite of Sara's salad. Sticking out his tongue, he mouthed the word 'later'.

[Sara Stanton]

"Uhm... yeah... So, how did your classes go today?" She goes for a not very subtle change of topic.

[Will Stanton]

"Tolerable. Got back into practicing my one-act; I've kinda been letting it slide."

[Sara Stanton]

"Because of the mission? Or in general? Because I hope I haven't been tieing up too much of your time..."
And I still haven't caught up myself... Excused or not, that's still two days of stuff I have to rework...

[Will Stanton]

"Mission. Turns out, light comedy is not what people are in the mood for when the campus is on lockdown.

And I went through my lines in my head while you were sleeping the other night. You don't take up too much of MY time."

[Sara Stanton]

"I guess not... And that's good to hear. It's enough when I worry about my time, right?" She smiles at Will and grabs his hand to gently squeeze it.

[Will Stanton]

"Besides, you've got all the hard stuff. I just go and make a fool of myself in front of people; and it's not like I need to practice that," Will joked.

[Sara Stanton]

"True, you're a bit of a natural in that." she chuckles. "I find cramming facts into my head much easier than standing in front of a crowd of people though, but I guess that's why I'm not trying to become an actor."

[Will Stanton]

"Nah, I'd much rather wing it on stage. You can't be wrong--it's just a choice", he says, melodramatically.

[Sara Stanton]

She snickers. "I doubt that'd work too well for me. 'Sorry Doctor McCoy, I didn't agree with he facts so I wrote down my own interpretation in the exam so it'd read less dry and boring.'"

[Will Stanton]

"Exactly. Who needs that pressure?"

[Sara Stanton]

"And fulfilling peoples' expectations of being entertained isn't pressuring at all." she chuckles.

[Will Stanton]

"I haven't let people down yet," Will smiled.

[Sara Stanton]

"No, you haven't." She smiles and gives Will a quick kiss. "I'm afraid I'll have to now though. Boring books to read and all that."

[Will Stanton]

"Well, OK. I guess I'll catch up with you...later."

[Sara Stanton]

Sara rolls her eyes with a smile and heads off.
