Downtime Week 4 - Dr. Cross

[Sara Stanton]

"And I didn't know it feels so... so liberating and just... carefree happy when I..." She trails off and wraps her arms around Will.

[Will Stanton]

"You see? I'm not selling myself short. If anything, I'm using you to make me happy..." Will smiled, sheepishly.

[Sara Stanton]

"That's a little egoistical." she chuckles faintly.

[Will Stanton]

"I know I shouldn't, but you're too good to resist. When you smile..."

[Sara Stanton]

"It's the least self-serving egoistical thing I could imagine." she smiles and kisses Will's cheek.

[Will Stanton]

Will smiled and wrapped an arm around Sara's waist.

"So...where do we go from here?"

[Sara Stanton]

"I don't know... Maybe we could give it another try some time. Just one thing... D-did you see that you don't need to do any of those things to make me happy?"

[Will Stanton]

"Yes. Yes I did. It's not a need thing. I also saw that you were a little embarrassed by it. It's just something that makes ME happy," he blushed.


If we...well, if we do do it some more, maybe we should, like, write something down. This is what we do, this is when we do it, etcetera..."

[Sara Stanton]

"It's okay, as long as you don't forget that." she smiles softly. "And it's not like you being helpful makes me less happy. I guess writing down some 'ground-rules' could help with making sure nothing sneaks into that 'everyday helping out' though..."

[Miles Cross]

"Writing things down can be theraputic, as well," Dr. Cross said, not coincidentally reminding Will and Sara that he was still there.

[Sara Stanton]

Sara flinches faintly at the reminder and maybe a bit too quickly slides her legs off the couch and sits up straight. "Oh, uhm... propably, yes."

[Miles Cross]

Miles smiled at the two of them.

"Is there anything else you wanted to talk about? Or something you didn't understand from your experience?"

[Sara Stanton]

"No, I think I understood it. It won't magically fix things, but... it helps. Alot."

[Miles Cross]

"Then go forth. I'd say be fruitful and multiply, but you seem to have that part well in hand," he chuckled.

[Will Stanton]

Will took Sara's hand in his, and kissed it, before looking back up and smiling at her. "I'm glad we came. You?"

[Sara Stanton]

She jokingly does a curtsy as Will kisses her hand and chuckles faintly. "Yeah. It was a good idea."

[Miles Cross]

"Shoo, shoo, I have work to do," Miles smiled.

[Sara Stanton]

"Of course. Thanks Dr Cross." She gets up and heads out the door with Will. Pulling it close behind her she wraps an arm around his waist.

"You know what we should do? Get some ice-cream and any movie. I feel exhausted from the last few days and just want to cuddle up to you and just... do nothing for a while. No parents, no worrying, just the two of us..." she says as they walk off.

"Sounds like a plan," he smiled, taking her out...
