Sept 26 - Binary's Office.

[Sara McDohl]

"I believe you said you were not looking to cast blame. If that was the case, then I beleive the ending to those facts would be stricken from the record. Unless of course you were not telling the truth to me, which why should I believe anything you say from this point then?" She questioned, understanding the facts perfectly.

[Barbara Chronopolis]

"I asked you a yes or no question. Do you understand these facts?"

[Sara McDohl]

"Yes. I understood the facts." She said with a hint of anger.

[Barbara Chronopolis]

"Excellent," she nods, sipping her own water. Again, there is no hint of gloating or victory, simply a practical acceptance of the words. "Xavier's University exists to give mutants a chance at something they could not have otherwise, whether it is an education or a complete fresh start. I sincerely have no wish to see you expelled from the school or alienated from us. However, I must also balance that against the safety of the student body at large."

"Thus far, you have not been caught crossing the line into the level of crime which Teri committed. Based on your statements today, you do not seem to wish further involvement with her criminal acts. Unfortunately, Teri tends to latch onto mutants with borderline obsessive behaviour, and now that you are in her field of influence, I doubt you will easily evade it."

"Any further collaboration with Teri will be prosecuted as the crime that it is; ignorance cannot be an excuse after today. That is unless, of course, you wish to aid us in recapturing her. Doing so would be a great personal risk to you so I do not expect an answer today. Please consider the possibility of aiding us."

"As for the other matter of using your power on students against their will.. such behaviour must stop. I will not bother threatening you; you are an adult and can make your own decisions and bear the burden of responsibility for your actions. I believe you are now aware of the gravity of the situation."

[Sara McDohl]

"Understood." She responded. "May I go now?" She asked politely.

[Barbara Chronopolis]

"One final thing." She opens a small case on her desk and pulls out a silver ring, holding it out for Sara to take. It has an engraved design and a small garnet embedded in it.

[Sara McDohl]

"I am not so sure that I should be taking that. It looks rather expensive, and could probably get me into trouble." She said jokingly.

[Barbara Chronopolis]

That elicits a small chuckle from Binary, "Hopefully it will help get you out of trouble. It is a more compact version of our panic buttons. Should you encounter Teri and fear for your safety, simply tap the garnet three times and the X-Teams will be alerted."

[Sara McDohl]

"I'm guess I have to take it...?" She said, reaching her hand out to accept the 'gift'..

[Barbara Chronopolis]

"The choice is yours," she shrugs, "I would strongly recommend taking advantage of it. At the very least, if you have it, you can choose whether or not to wear it."

[Sara McDohl]

With a short sigh she took the ring and slid it on her finger. "I do not want any part of any of this..Not your X-teams...or Teri." She said, making sure to point this out.

[Barbara Chronopolis]

She nods, "I support your right to make that choice, and for what it is worth, I believe that decision is a sound one. Thank you for your time and candor. If I can be of any assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me."

[Sara McDohl]

"Alright..." She said softly, before getting up to leave..

[Barbara Chronopolis]

Binary's attention seems to return to the flag on her desk, though it's always hard to tell exactly where she is focused.

The ring on Sara's finger seems a perfect fit, almost like it's always been there.

I am so not used to jewelry being on my hands...This is going to take some getting used to.. she thought to herself, moving out of the room.
