"Where did Nina come into it?"

"Some of the video was of Nina and Cal."

[Zoe Walker]

Anita giggles. "Sorry, I'll try ta be more quiet."

"We'd all appreciate it, thank you kindly," she grins.

"Yes, you see, that's what I meant, exactly, and not the 'standing between groups of people trying to kill each other' bit."

"Will! Cmon in!" She tosses her ertwhile teammate a panache of a salute, then listens to the tale of drama. "Whoa. My spam filters trash anon email so I didn't see it, but that's pretty intense. Poor Calvin."

[Anita Fernandez]

"Yeah, guy got brainraped. Does anyone know if he's doin' okay?"

[Zoe Walker]

"I'll check in on him later, I'd guess he's a little distracted right now. Damn. I wish I knew enough about computers and stuff to help find the bastard who did this. You think maybe it was those Alliance of Man creeps, trying a different way to make the school look bad?"

[Anita Fernandez]

"I dunno, we got em on the run pretty good. But there's always more jerks like that."

[Zoe Walker]

"Never ending supply of 'em," she sighs and finishes off the first glass of beer, shaking her head.

[Anita Fernandez]

Anita grins. "Don't fret pet, you're a junior X-Man!"

[Zoe Walker]

It's hard to say if she's mercurial or just perky, but Anita's words seem to do the trick, "Yeah, I am! And we rocked the sims today. I'm sure it'll get harder, but team one is filled with awesome."

[Anita Fernandez]

"Heck yes we are. And yeah, it'll get a lot harder than that, but that's a good thing. It's all about bein' sore when ya head ta bed."

[Zoe Walker]

"I'll bow to your experience on that particular subject," she replies with a sly grin, glancing from Anita to Ryan and back again. "I sure do need to work on unarmed combat though. And those weights! Ugh."

[Anita Fernandez]

"Yeah, and weights never stop bein' a pain if yer a girl, cause ya gotta worry about not bulkin' up too much."

[Zoe Walker]

"Last I checked, I am a girl. I think it'll be a long time before I have to worry about too much bulking up though, as mentioned, I am a delicate flower," she nods sagely. Of course, she's athletic enough to make it through the first day of training and still be mobile, so that's probably best taken with a grain of salt.

[Anita Fernandez]

"Well yeah. But what I mean is, with the runnin' and the combat trainin', ya get to a place where ya'll can just go all out and be sore but feelin' good, an not worry about it. Weights, even when ya get good ya gotta watch yerself."

[Zoe Walker]

"Don't wanna turn into a Russian weightlifter?" she smirks.

[Anita Fernandez]

"Yeah, I don't wanna look all muscly, that's just gross on girls."

[Zoe Walker]

"I might have to try and get up with you for your training stuff, at least a coupla times a week. If you don't mind company, that is."

[Anita Fernandez]

"I'd love the company. Ya wanna join in on the mornin' trainin or the evenin' trainin?"

[Zoe Walker]

"Ummmm..." she pauses to consider that, chewing on her lower lip, "Morning, I think. When do you usually do either session?"

[Anita Fernandez]

"Mornin' is every mornin', from six ta eight. And then Evenin is just Sunday through Thursday. It used ta be around six, but I pushed it back ta eight oclock ta ten, cause we have that two hour X-Men class now."

Anita grins. "And sometimes I slack off and don't do the evenin' trainin on Thursdays."

[Ryan Gabriel]

"When you're up at freaking dawn each day to work out, I don't think you get to say that you slack off," Ryan smirked.

[Zoe Walker]

"Crazy, girl!" she laughs, "Yeah, I'll try the morning shift. No way I could keep up with that pattern."

[Madrox Saavedra]

"I don't even need sleep and I know that's crazy."

[Anita Fernandez]

Anita shrugs. "It's only six hours a day, and two hours on the weekend days."

Then she giggles. "Besides, that's why I'm takin' classes that don't have much homework."

[Ryan Gabriel]

"Yeah... I have a feeling I'm going to be learning the glories of living off of caffeine and no sleep by the end of the semester."

[Zoe Walker]

She nods sympathetically to Ryan, "And beer! But yeah, I've done the caffeine/no sleep thing before, I can do it again."

[Ryan Gabriel]

"Oh, good, we can be insomniac buddies," Ryan smirked. "What's your major, anyway?"

[Zoe Walker]

"Fine art. Lotsa reading in my art history classes, but the various media classes are more hands-on. I don't think the homework will be too bad," she trails off, somewhat dubious. "What about you?"

[Anita Fernandez]

"Pffft, ya'll folk with majors."

[Ryan Gabriel]

"Yes, majors, that little detail that lets me stay here and keep you company instead of being thrashed on a daily basis training back home without ever seeing any action," Ryan smirked. "Double major poly-sci and extraterrestrial diplomacy... although I'll admit the second one is just because I didn't think I could see something like that on the list and not take it."

[Zoe Walker]

Zoe sticks her tongue out at Anita, now adorned with a little smiley-face stud in her piercing.

"Wow, that's gonna be an intense schedule. Good luck with that."

[Anita Fernandez]

"Double-majorin' with the X-Team minor is gonna keep ya'll here for like six years hon."

[Ryan Gabriel]

"Yeah, I figured that," Ryan said, shrugging. "Six years for two four-year degrees seems like a fair trade. Besides, how many people on Earth can say that they're qualified to deal with alien cultures?"

[Anita Fernandez]

"Not a lot, I know. Just seems like a crazy amount of work for somthin' ya'd probably get ta do anyway on an X-team."

[Ryan Gabriel]

Ryan frowned, considering that. Then he gave Anita a very fake scowl. "Do I go out of my way to make you feel stupid like that?"

[Anita Fernandez]

Anita pokes Ryan in the side. "Sometimes. I mean, I guess if ya take the Space Diplomat thing, and ya'll were leadin' a team, you'd probably be the one sent ta space."

She grins. "But it's STILL a ton a work."

[Ryan Gabriel]

"Yeah, well, I have to prove that yes, I really do have something going for me other than wings and a reckless lack of danger recognition."

[Zoe Walker]

"Wait, a reckless lack of danger recognition is an asset? Why didn't anyone tell me?"

[Ryan Gabriel]

"Please remember that part of my career goals include doing stupidly reckless things for 'the greater good'," Ryan chuckled.

[Zoe Walker]

"The greater good of your publicity, or the greater good of the planet?" she retorts with a playful grin.
