Lumis's Office: Sept 15

Lumis is in his office, with a strange looking little pup-tent in one corner. It's made of some highly technical looking stuff.

Lumis himself is at his desk, observing a man in dark clothes, including a purple cloak. This other man is laying some beads out on a table, moving them around and occasionally drawing mystic sigils on the table itself.

Having showered, dressed, and more or less verified that her living room wasn't seeping anything particularly heinous anymore, Samantha knocked at Dom's office door. She had the trinket in her pocket.

"Sam, this is Liam Crenshaw, who I am assured is an excellent sorcerer. Liam, this is Samantha McManus, whom you might know more easily as Morrigan."

Domanic frowns. "A what?"

Liam nods gravely. "Hmmm, I suspected something that strong might have arrived. So far, it has mainly been minor creatures, that I can see."

"A washerwoman. They're considered a sort of banshee, Dom. Mentioned the myth the other night, aye?"

"At any rate, she claimed to have been sent there by a 'painted man' who is evidently blessed by three gods. Also evidently an 'Apprentice to the Strange One,' which is a reference I can catch, though I didn't think Stephen had ever taken an apprentice, and certainly not one that stuck around for very long."

Liam shrugs. "Considering the fae tendancy to apply whatever label they think is most appropriate, it may not have had to be a long apprenticeship for it to 'count'."

"I freed it from an Astral chain that was evidently compelling it to go after me."

She reached into her pocket and pulled out the trinket, setting it on Dom's desk.

"This was left in its wake."

"Is it adding up to anything? Liam tells me that it's like an assortment of celtic creatures, little astral brownies and imps and whatever else they've got. We had that umm... Liam says it's called a Fetch that imitated Amp, and a black dog, and Logan has found little carnivorous pixies around. I'm hoping there's some kind of human or mutant agent behind this, rather than magic creatures just coming back."

"And then I think I'll send a student team or two down there."

Con paused, recollecting exactly what the redcap had said.

"It said that I knew about the Battle Crow's son, that Modred's whelp had told them. Battle Crow could be Morrigan I guess, but it's a more likely name for Badb Catha. As to Modred, my first thought was Arthur's bastard, which didn't make a lot of sense. I did find a reference to a Modred who was Gervasse's apprentice, nothing about a whelp though."
