Downtime Week 2 - Nina's room

Having put it off longer than she can really justify to herself Sara waits for a time when Nina's room isn't bustling with people. Knocking on the door she opens it a bit, not stepping inside yet. "Nina?"

Nina was dressed and sitting on the bed, waiting for the word that she could leave. Seeing Sara, Nina forced a small smile.

"Oh, hey Sara."

"Hey..." Stepping into the room she lets out a small sigh. "Listen, Nina I... wanted to apologize for what happened."

"I'm not the one you should be apologizing to," Nina says, hopping down off the bed.

"Yeah... Doing that might be a bit tricky. Besides, I'm not here to rehash that but to apologize about how I dealt with the whole situation and you getting hurt because of it."

"It's alright," Nina says, "I don't blame you for that."

"...I'm sorry if I freaked you out. Sometimes I get a bit...hyperfocused."

"You should have just told me you were helping him. You sounded like you were just having fun..." Her tone isn't even close to accusing, she sounds more like she's trying to justify her actions to herself. "I shouldn't have mistrusted you, I guess."

Nina brushes a strand of hair back, "Well, you don't exactly know me that well."

"It's okay. Really. I was mad before but that just....sort of washed away after everything."

"I'm just glad you're alright." She falls silent for a moment.

"Could you really have patched that vampire back together and saved him?"

"Yeah, it just sucks when what you think was right turns out to be false, you know. But I don't want to bore you with that. I made a mistake so I have to deal with it."

"I've made a lot of mistakes doing what I thought was right. Even hurt some people. It sucks, but you've got to learn and move on."
