Sept 28th – Xub 1 Late Evening

[Niles Radcliff]

“What kind of dance classes did you take?”

[Veronica Freud]

"Ballet." With a smug look on her face Veronica took a sip of her beer.

[Niles Radcliff]

“Ballet...” Niles paused for a moment, then a smile came over his face.

“So, did you ever go to one of your ballet recitals, or whatever they call them, and then start out break dancing or something?”

[Veronica Freud]

Veronica busted out laughing and had a tough time keeping herself from spilling her beer.

"That woulda been awesome! Ah ha ha. Now I wish I'd done it."

[Niles Radcliff]

“Of course you'd actually have to know how to break dance in the first place, stupid minor little details always getting in the way.” Niles smiled.

[Veronica Freud]

"Not a lot of opportunities to practice break dancin' when the local hub of activity is the bowlin' alley slash arcade slash pizza joint slash lawyer's office." Veronica finished off her beer, quite aware of some of the stares she'd gotten from her performance.

[Niles Radcliff]

“So you grew up in a small town, from the sound of it, a really small town?”

[Veronica Freud]

"I grew up on a rural road, not even in a town. Apparently us farm girls are a dying breed."

[Niles Radcliff]

“Wait farm girls still exist? I thought they went extinct over a decade ago.”

“Are you sure that you are real?” Niles reaches over and pokes Veronica lightly on the arm.

[Veronica Freud]

Veronica stayed perfectly still until Niles' finger touched her arm. Once he touched her she half-leaped at him and snapped her teeth with a roar, followed immediately by frenzied giggling.

Initially, Niles reeled back in shock and just stood there, up against the wall. He only recovered a few seconds after she started giggling. Then, a bit after that, he started laughing as well.

[Veronica Freud]

Veronica laughed even harder at Niles' reaction once he had recovered from her little prank. "S-sorry. My dad used to do that. It's a bad habit I picked up."

[Niles Radcliff]

“It's okay, I was just surprised. Of course, now I need to think of a way to get you back.” Niles grinned.

[Veronica Freud]

"Well it's gonna take you awhile, I'm pretty crafty so it's hard to get the drop on me." Veronica smiled playfully.

[Niles Radcliff]

“I believe I'm up to the challenge, so you better watch out.” Niles smiled.

[Veronica Freud]

"I'm totally looking forward to it." Veronica grinned and kicked her legs a little.

[Niles Radcliff]

Now, I just need to think of something to do.

“Hold on, just how is this going to work. Do I have to startle you or are other methods allowed?”

[Veronica Freud]

"I dunno. I guess it depends on yer methods." Veronica crossed her legs as she kicked them.

[Niles Radcliff]

Niles moves his hand up to his chin.

"Not really sure, want to just leave it at something similar to what you did to me?"

[Veronica Freud]

"If ya wanna be unoriginal, sure." Veronica teased.

[Niles Radcliff]

“Okay, now you're just asking for it.” Niles laughed.

[Veronica Freud]

"What can I say? I love tempting fate. It's fun to get into trouble."

[Niles Radcliff]

Niles looked at his watch, then at Veronica.

“Unfortunately my revenge is going to have to wait for another time. If I'm not getting myself drunk then I might as well be off to the library to get some work done. See you later then?”

[Veronica Freud]

Veronica sighed softly. "Yeah, I should be gettin' to bed too. I got labs and stuff to work on." She hopped up from her bench and brushed off her skirt. "Totally. See you soon Niles."
