Champion - Obsession

Postby Merle McClintock » Sat Jun 06, 2009 7:57 pm

Merle wear a simple gray athletic t-shirt and blue shorts. His leg is bandaged, but feeling better. he's got the room reserved.

He sets the simulation to an archery range and selects from a range of licensed hunting bows. He hadn't done a lot of training with them since send-away camp, but it all made a lot of sense. His pull was a lot stronger, of course, and he was able to sit at the far end of the recommended shooting distance and still put it through the targets.

A longbow was going to be too unwieldy. Shot by shot, quiver by quiver, he narrows down which is the right bow for him. Hopefully it'd be in his price range. And he didn't have to retrieve arrows.

After talking to a few people at JQ's sport, who all seemed a bit fuddled by the idea of a "weightlifter's draw", Merle had decided that he didn't know very much about archery at all. Well, they'd solved that (and also the heavy weight that used to be in his wallet); he set to borrowing a series of books from the library and looking into compound bows.

The only problem would be restringing one during a mission...
