Sept 28th - Jess' room

[Jessica Temple]

Sometime after her surgery, Jess had been treated by one of the staff healers.

Morning would find her sleeping peacefully, albiet hooked up to an IV.

[Sara Stanton]

After having heard that Jess was injured during the attack Sara knocks on her door some time during visiting hours and steps inside.

[Jessica Temple]

Jess gave Sara a groggy smile. "Hey roomie."

[Sara Stanton]

"Hey Jess. How are you doing?" She asks softly, mustering an optimistic smile as she steps over to Jess' bed.

"No idea." Jess replied with a smile. "Yay for morphine, right?"

[Sara Stanton]

"Not that great but at least you're not noticing, huh?" she smiles weakly at her own bad joke before falling into an awkward silence for a few moments.

"Jess I... I'm not sure how to say this... Have you heard about Nina yet?"

[Jessica Temple]

"No." Jess replied, a slight trace of worry getting through the morphine haze. "What about Nina?"

[Sara Stanton]

Damn... She sighs and takes a deep breath.
"She... she's in a coma. One of the vampires did something to her head and... it's kind of my fault..."

[Jessica Temple]

"What.... What happened?"

[Sara Stanton]

"We had a disagreement over something she did and she stormed off. I... I thought she was going back to the helicopter... The vampires captured her and held her hostage to get us to leave and when Con threatened them they... I don't know... scrambled her brain or something. I should have send someone to go with her. Hell I shouldn't have let her leave in the first place! I'm so sorry..."

[Jessica Temple]

Jess slumped back in the bed, closing her eyes.

"Nina..."

[Sara Stanton]

Sara places a hand on Jess' arm. "I'm sure she'll be alright. There are lots of capable people here who'll make sure she makes a full recovery..."

[Jessica Temple]

"Sara... just go, please..."

[Sara Stanton]

"Jess, I..." Sara pauses and sighs, letting out a quiet "I'm sorry." before heading out.
