"Never know until you ask," he answered casually. "Although you should be careful about asking for things you don't want to do yourself, of course..."

"Besides, you're so not batman. Or woman. You know what I mean."

"True" Jubilee said with a laugh "I totally fail at being a dark, brooding avenger."

[Michael Asters]

"But I fail at being a perky, sexy foil for said dark broody avenger, so it works."

"Besides, you'd look better in black vinyl anyway."

[Jubilation Lee]

"Damn straight I would." Jubilee said with a smirk "Now, you said something about dinner?"

[Michael Asters]

"I suppose we should stay on campus, so making you dinner is going to have to wait until this mess is over," he sighed as they started down the hall.

"Ok, you've motivated me to go out and kick vampire ass." Jubilee teased.

Jubilee had gotten a few minor bumps and scrapes checked out and then hurried over to the Cerebro Dome.

The readings showed that the power levels were currently off the scale, but dropping.

Hmm... thought you said not a scratch? Cassiel thought, his mental voice sounding strained.

[Jubilation Lee]

Sorry. Jubilee replied I got hit by shrapnel a couple times. Nothing serious, 'tho.

[Michael Asters]

The power levels had finally dropped to somewhere that could be measured, and continued to steadily drop toward 'power down' levels.

Still... it's a scratch, he teased.

[Jubilation Lee]

I know, I know. Jubilee responded with a mental sigh So....no hot telepath action tonight?

[Michael Asters]

Oh, come on, you didn't actually think I was serious, did you? Despite the shakiness, his thought sounded amused, as Cerebro reached half power.

[Jubilation Lee]

You might have been. Jubilee teased back.

[Michael Asters]

I might've been, true. Ah, well, I'm feeling generous tonight.

THe power level dropped into the shutdown level. God, I hate this part.

Cassiel disengaged from Cerebro, and within the chamber, cried out as he felt his subconscious being pulled out by the psi-filters, much more strongly this time due to the length of time and amount of activity he'd had in there.

"Are you ok?" Jubilee asked aloud, catching the edges of his emotions as the doors opened and Cassiel stepped out.

[Michael Asters]

"Fine enough," he said, looking completely unstable, but managing to stay on two feet well enough. "Just... disorienting. And draining."

[Jubilation Lee]

"I know what you mean about drained." Jubliee said. "iI think I can fly us back to your place, but thats pretty much it for me."

[Michael Asters]

Mike shook his head. "Save it. Days like this is why God created cars."

[Jubilation Lee]

"Sounds good to me. If you're ok to drive, that is."

[Michael Asters]

"It's the pedal on the left that makes it move, right," Cassiel joked as they headed down the hall.
