"I suppose I can sort of understand that."

[Janice Gilbertson]

"Besides, from what I hear Tala's not exactly tame either," she teased.

[Wanda Johansen]

"Not entirely, no," Wanda admitted.

[Janice Gilbertson]

"It doesn't have to be a bad thing."

[Wanda Johansen]

"I suppose. It just seems..." She stopped and went through several lifts before continuing, "You know what? I really don't want to go down that road because it makes me look and sound like an ass and I'm really not."

[Janice Gilbertson]

"Okay. I wasn't really trying to make a big deal of it."

[Wanda Johansen]

"It's not a problem really. Sometimes I just need to leave my trains of thought at the station. Does that make sense?"

[Janice Gilbertson]

"Yeah, sometimes things need to be your inside voice," she agreed.

[Wanda Johansen]

"I try," Wanda said. "Not always successful, but I try."

[Janice Gilbertson]

"Yeah, well, if I really need dirt on you I'll just bribe Tala with food."

[Wanda Johansen]

"I see you do not fight fair," Wanda said. "I can applaud that or I would if my hands weren't full right now."

[Janice Gilbertson]

"I've got to keep some advantages, eh?"

[Wanda Johansen]

She finished her set and put the weights up again. "Of course, I'm also fairly easy to bribe with food, so it's not like it's a weakness unique to Tala."

[Janice Gilbertson]

"Well then, the London girl who knows all the good restaurants will file that away," she smirked.

[Wanda Johansen]

"It's a good thing you're on our side, I think," Wanda said with a laugh.

[Janice Gilbertson]

"Not like Murphy will turn away food, either."

[Wanda Johansen]

"So you're completely set in your position of power then, aren't you?"

[Janice Gilbertson]

"Unless I want to get a bite in," she chuckled.

[Wanda Johansen]

"True," Wanda acknowledged. "Check and balances as the Americans would say."

[Janice Gilbertson]

"I still can't believe how many Yanks ended up here, can you?"

[Wanda Johansen]

"There doesn't seem to be any good place for them to go in the States, so I guess it follows, but it's still strange."

[Janice Gilbertson]

"And the funny thing is, before I got to university age, I really wanted to go over to Salem."

[Wanda Johansen]

"It did look like a nice place."

[Janice Gilbertson]

"Yeah. Mum and Dad were pretty dead-set on that being a no-go. Lucked out, when they put a school here."

[Wanda Johansen]

"My parents didn't think I needed it and I agreed. It was easy enough for everyone to assume I was just incredibly tall."

[Janice Gilbertson]

"Guess you could say the same thing about me being unlucky."

[Wanda Johansen]

"I suppose it could, though yours could have serious consequences if you couldn't control it."

[Janice Gilbertson]

"Yeah, I ended up getting some tutoring with X-Corporation."

[Wanda Johansen]

"That's good. I was just very careful with everything, especially things that would break."

[Janice Gilbertson]

"About the same for me," she laughed.

[Wanda Johansen]

"I wasn't allowed to pet the dog or the cats for a while after I crushed one of my mom's coffee mugs."

[Janice Gilbertson]

"Okay, not so much that. I can only break stuff if there's potential for it."

[Wanda Johansen]

"Yeah, I could break stuff by not being careful. Now that I have a good handle on what my strength is, I don't really have that problem."

[Janice Gilbertson]

"Good for whoever's on the receiving end of a Wanda hug."

[Wanda Johansen]

"Wanda hugs are wonderful. You should try one sometime. Assuming Murphy wouldn't kill me in my sleep for it."
