Issue 1 Downtime

Still in her office attire, Samantha walks up and knocks on Nailah's door at the lighthouse.

"Door's open."

"Just being polite, love," she says as she slips in.

"I know." she smiles. She's wearing full ceremonial robes and sitting in front of her shrine.

"Having a pleasant afternoon, I see. I do hope I'm not interrupting."

"Maybe a little, but that's quite alright."

"Then by all means, continue," she says, leaning against the door.

She nods and proceeds to finish up her ritual with all the bells and whistles that entails. She's not quite offering up scotch, but the usual incense and what seems to be a cup of blood from the local butcher. Not that she's trying to make the Goddess in Sam jealous or anything.

"Nnh. I think that's a new one for you, aye?"

"Well, I've been... splitting my attention a bit lately so I thought it'd be in order."

"Suppose that would please the Lady of Slaughter..."

"Is everything alright?"

"Oh, just fine," she says distractedly. "I simply wanted to see if you had plans for this evening."

"Not particularly, no?" she says, bowing to the altar before getting up.

"I was thinking it might be pleasant to blow off some steam in the Danger Room."

"You know what? I could really go for that."

"Twist your arm, eh?" She chuckles.

"It's been a while. Had any particular time in mind?"

"How does sevenish sound?"

"That works for me." she smiles.

"I'll let you... clean up, then," she smiles, turning to leave.

There once again was a stray black feather in her otherwise entirely businesslike bun.

Nailah quirks an eyebrow but doesn't say anything. Unlike the last time, she's not particularly happy about this.
