Allison stopped outside Dr. Quinn's office, knocking gently. She was smudged with grease and was carrying two halves of what might once have been a functioning piece of her motorcycle.

Dee opens the door and looks to the parts, quirking a brow.

"This looks like it comes with a story. Can I help you?"

"Call it rough handling in transit," Allison said. "Someone told me that you might be able to help with a short order repair." Then it finally occurred to her that she hadn't introduced herself. "I'm Allison Rogers, by the way."

Allison handed over the two halves of the part and found a place to be out of the way, "I would have ordered a new one, but I don't have the time to wait for it." Given her knowledge of materials, Dee would be able to tell that this part hadn't broken from ordinary rough handling. It'd been snapped by someone with exceptional strength.

Dee turns the parts over, and looks back to Allison.

"Are we going to cop to this little tantrum, or is it going to be the elephant in the room?"

Allison immediately looked guilty. "I was having a hard time getting it out of the engine," she tried to cover.
