Emily sits at a table, peeling an apple while staring off into space.

"Sup, shadow-butt?" Sid asks as she plops herself down across from the girl with her tray.

Emily giggles, putting the naked apple back on her tray and stretching the skin out across the table. She smiles faintly.

Her face turns back to an expressionless mask almost immediately.

"I have been practicing being happy. It is very fun. How have you been?"

[Sidney Young]

"Dealing with a bunch of crap, whatever." she waves it off. "How do you practice being happy?"

[Emily Inque]

"Smiling. Giggling," Emily says. "The whore says that I'm getting much better at it."

[Sidney Young]

"The whore's your mom, right?"

[Emily Inque]

"Don't remind me," Emily says with a heavy and overdramatic sigh. "To go from being a Latverian princess to this? It's too much to bear."

[Sidney Young]

"Must be truly jarring, your highness." she says, not really sure why she's encouraging Emily's bullshit. Probably just to see what's gonna happen next.

[Emily Inque]

"What do you think about my mother?" Emily asks suddenly. She looks intensely interested.

[Sidney Young]

"Dunno. She's, like, the maid of the green-haired weirdo and his wife, right? She seems super boring but I bet there's some really freaky stuff going on behind closed doors."

[Emily Inque]

"Ugh. It would not surprise me at all," Emily says, rolling her eyes. Everything she did was always so dramatic. "I have heard she has fucked half of the faculty. And yet I get in trouble for calling her a whore. It is aggravating."

"What about your own mother, Lady Sid? What is she like?"

[Sidney Young]

"Oh man, I wish my mom did anything even remotely as embarrassing. She goes to a god damn book club for fuck's sake."

[Emily Inque]

"She sounds awful," Emily agrees.

[Sidney Young]

"No kidding! Well, they send me here at least. Figured I could use some 'guidance' cause they were clearly fucking it up." she rolls her eyes.

[Emily Inque]

"Well, I am glad you are here," Emily says. "You are good company. For a murderer."

[Sidney Young]

"Pff, you're the one hanging out with me so you only got yourself to blame." she smirks.

[Emily Inque]

"I will take full responsibility for your deviancy," Emily says. She begins peeling another apple.

[Sidney Young]

"You better not. An do you plan on eating that?"

[Onyx]

"No. I am deliberately and maliciously wasting food," Emily says. She smiles genuinely and it's full of eight different shades of crazy. "Because I can."

[Sidney Young]

"Pff, what a waste of wasting things. You gotta think these things through more. Say... we get some foul tasting stuff from the chemistry lab, dump it into the soup in the kitchen. Bam!" she punches the table for emphasis.

[Emily Inque]

Emily squeaks excitedly. "Yes! Let's do that. Let's do that immediately."

She looks like a child who was just told about Disneyland.

[Sidney Young]

"Man, we should at least wait till tonight. Ooh! We'll dump it into the coffee and get all the teachers who eat breakfast in here with it too!"

[Emily Inque]

"And then we can poison all the horses in the stables!" Emily says.

[Sidney Young]

"Whoa, hey, chill out there, Princess. This is for shits and giggles and pissing in everybody's cereal, not for hurting anybody. Much."

[Emily Inque]

"It wouldn't be hurting anybody. Only horses," Emily says.

[Sidney Young]

"They can still hurt. And fuck you for making me be the voice of reason."

[Emily Inque]

"Fine, but only because you seem so attached to them," Emily says grumpily.

[Sidney Young]

"Whatever. Just meet me outside the chemistry lab at 11 pm tonight."

[Emily Inque]

"A secret rendezvous?" Emily asks. "Of course."

[Sidney Young]

"A secret rendezvous heist."

[Emily Inque]

"Don't we need more people for a heist?" Emily asks.

[Sidney Young]

"Pff, you can have a two people heist."

[Emily Inque]

"I think it's more of a caper."

[Sidney Young]

"Man, you can be peculiar. Fine, it's a secret royal rendezvous caper."

[Emily Inque]

"I'll have to go change," Emily says, stuffing the apple peels into her bag. "See you soon!"

How long does it take her to change? And what's she doing with those peels?
