"Telepath," Astrid explains, "I was kind of curious so I took a quick look."

"It's sort of complicated," Astrid says, "My entire mind is actually made up of bits and parts of other people."

Teri looks thoughtful for a moment, then nods. "That makes sense. Don't those people miss those pieces though?"

"That makes sense. When we try to think too much about ourselves as bits and pieces we lose track of the larger picture."

"Yeah. Well... not entirely but everything gets blurry. It's like we don't know who to listen to anymore because they're all right. Or wrong."

Astrid looks surprised, but not scared.

"That's amazing! What kind of locust is that? I did some work with entomology in college but I don't think I've ever seen anything like that," Astrid says.
