Regan was in the cafeteria, rubbing her temples. She didn't look good. Hell, she didn't feel good. Her head hurt and her stomach kept growling. Which was weird since being dead usually was a great appetite suppressant, but what are you gonna do? It's not like there was a ghost rule book.

"Well, someone looks like hell," Victoria commented as she walked in, the faintly glowing ring on her finger making it rather clear that she'd been looking for Regan rather than happening to have run across her.

Regan groans, "I'm too tired for puns, Ms. Valentine."

Something had to be wrong. That was almost polite.

"Really? That's all the snark I get? Something really must be wrong," Victoria said, stopping a moment to look the girl over. "What happened to your eyes?" she asked, partly for something to occupy the girl's attention while she scanned the gril's aura.

"Bite me," Regan says, but her heart just isn't in it, "I don't know. What do they look like? Mirrors aren't exactly my biggest priority these days."

"About like this," Victoria said, looking over at her, a small glamour making her eyes look like Regan's for a moment. "I'm more concerned with how they feel. How you feel, for that matter."

"Fuck, when did that happen?" Regan asks, "I don't know. Tired. Hungry."

"Is there a ghost flu? Is that a thing?"

"Well, you could just be recovering from whatever the hell happened to you the other day," Victoria reasoned. "Did you try resting in the ring more to regather yourself?"

"Yeah, but it didn't work," Regan mumbles, "It just made me hungrier."

Regan curls up, "It's fricking weird. I just want a raw, bloody steak or something."

There was a lust in her voice that was more than a little disturbing.

"Well that's revolting," Victoria said. "You hav to at least sear the steak or you miss most of the flavor."

"I just want some fucking meat," Regan snaps, a growl in her voice, "...Sorry. I...fuck...this is fucked up."

"It's fine," Victoria said. "Honestly we're back in 'what the bloody hell' territory. Buuut... if you're craving meat, usually that means you need meat. So... hm. I suppose we get you meat."

"And how do we pull that off? Burn a cow on an altar?"

"Hardly," Victoria said distastefully. "For that, we're just going to need to take a little trip. Unless you're too busy doing your homework?"

"I don't do homework," Regan says, "I'm not too worried about graduating."

"So 'no' then, good," Victoria said. "In that case, take my hand," she said, holding the ringed hand out, an dimensional shift spell already working in the back of her mind.

"If we end up on a flying carpet together, I'm not singing," Regan says, reaching for Victoria's hand.

"Please, you couldn't handle going for a carpet ride with me," Victoria retorted, rolling her eyes. "Now, this is going to be weird... but just don't panic."

And, in a flash, they vanished.
