After getting yelled at surprisingly little Kay kind of slipped away to her room to get her head around what had happened.

Theresa stopped outside the door and paused, her hand raised in front of the door. She exhaled and knocked, resisting the urge to walk away.

Kay's head snaps around from where she's sitting on the bed with her back against the wall. Still a little on edge it seems.

"Yeah...?"

"It's Theresa. You doing okay?" She asks through the door.

"Yeah. Yeah, I'm okay... The door's open." she adds after a moment.

Theresa opened the door and slipped in, shutting it behind her. "I wasn't able to tell much after what happened and I really haven't been in a state to check until now."

"I... I don't know... The ship was sinking. I just thought I had to help Alex and Brigid..." she says meekly, suddenly feeling kinda stupid about what she did.

"Whatever... You're right. I'm no hero and that was stupid. Shoulda let everybody else take care of things and not stand up for anything. Only gets me in trouble anyway." she mumbles, flopping down on her bed with the face to the wall.

Theresa muttered something under her breath that sounded like "Goin' about as well as last time..." She plopped down on the bed next to Kay. "Listen, I'm sorry. You're right, you should be able to do what you want. I just don't wanna see anythin' happen to you either."

"All I want is to not feel so damn useless and stupid... And Brigid keeps talking like becoming a super-hero just kinda happens but when I actually try to do something I just get yelled at or people act like it's all Regan's fault when no one forced me to do anything and everything just sucks..."

At that moment, Theresa seemed to realize her hand was still on Kay's back and she moved it to back to her own lap. "Hey, that's a good enough reason in my book," she joked back.
