I13DT - Am I Who I Pretend To Be?

Laura was sitting in the cafeteria, munching on breakfast while she flipped through a book of photos, studying the photos carefully.

Janice waves at Laura from the line, before going to get her food.

[Laura Weston]

Laura waves back, digging into her bowl of cereal as her features shift to match one of the photos and then snap back into Laura.

[Janice Gilbertson]

Janice brings her tray over, which looks to contain some poached eggs, tomatoes, and baked beans.

"Practicing?" She asks.

[Laura Weston]

"Sort of," she said, "Printed off some pictures from the internet so I could carry them around with me without running down my phone battery."

[Janice Gilbertson]

"What are you trying for?" She asks, setting her tray down before taking a seat.

[Laura Weston]

"Just variation I guess. Trying to figure out how different kinds of features 'feel'." She closed the book, "How've you been?"

[Janice Gilbertson]

"Decent, I guess. Better after a friend got back from traveling."

[Laura Weston]

"I imagine that must be nice," she nodded. "Where'd they go?"

[Janice Gilbertson]

"Knowing her? Pretty much everywhere, and she was wearing half of it when she got back," she chuckles.

[Laura Weston]

"One of those types," she said with a half-nod.

[Janice Gilbertson]

"Outdoorsy, yeah. It works for her."

[Laura Weston]

"I'm a big proponent of 'whatever works for you'."

[Janice Gilbertson]

"You'd probably like her, but I think she was still traveling when you got here."

[Laura Weston]

"I'll have to meet her sometime then. Given any more thought to pranking Will?"

[Janice Gilbertson]

"Has been awhile since we talked about that. I'd gotten caught up in other things. We really should go for it."

[Laura Weston]

"So what is it you want me to do?"

[Janice Gilbertson]

"I'm trying to think what would be funnier. He'd probably spot the differences if you tried to be his wife."

[Laura Weston]

"I haven't met her yet, so I wouldn't even remotely have the mannerisms right."

[Janice Gilbertson]

"So okay, you'd probably have to be me. Even then he knows me decently, so... we have to make him think I'm the fake."

[Laura Weston]

"My stuff will fit you. I could wear your stuff and you could wear mine."

[Janice Gilbertson]

"And then I'd act really off, and we see if he figures it out."

[Laura Weston]

"It's a decent plan. Just let me know when."

[Janice Gilbertson]

"Well... he's usually in the lighthouse in the afternoon..."

[Laura Weston]

"I've got nothing else to do."

[Janice Gilbertson]

"So there you go, you get to save him from the evil clone, or whatever you decide is suitably dramatic."
