[Allison Rogers]

Allison was sitting in the cafeteria, leafing through a textbook as she sipped on some post-breakfast coffee. She seemed to be in a pretty good mood.

[Will Stanton]

Will Stanton, her hair pulled back into a ponytail, saw the new arrival, and maneuvered her tray in that general direction.

"Ms. Rogers, right?"

[Allison Rogers]

"That's me. You must be... Will, right?"

[Will Stanton]

"My fame has preceded me."

[Allison Rogers]

"I've been reviewing your case a bit, so yes, I guess your fame has preceded you."

[Will Stanton]

"Oof. Probably not my best first impression, then."

[Allison Rogers]

"The Headmistress explained what was going on. The solution is... less than ideal, but sometimes you have to go with what will work for the time being."

[Will Stanton]

"Yeeeeeah. I'm not even quite sure what this entails, long-run. I just know it means Sara--that's my wife--is the one who has to go to the bank."

[Allison Rogers]

"Until we can establish legal residence records for you in the appropriate systems, it's difficult. If there's any paperwork the two of you need help with, feel free to set up some time with me."

[Will Stanton]

"I'm sure you'll begin to dread the sight of me," she chuckled.

[Allison Rogers]

"In the meantime, if anyone hassles you about your status as 'property', you can refer them to me and I can read them the riot act."

[Will Stanton]

"Does that have ANY legal meaning whatsoever?"

[Allison Rogers]

"Well, you can't be removed from the university without some sort of legal proceedings. Anyone trying to remove you without authorization would be committing grand larceny. No one can reproduce you without authorization, though that bit is a little weird." She smiled, "Needless to say there are no plans to license the 'process' by which you were 'created'."

[Will Stanton]

"Insert juvenile joke here."

[Allison Rogers]

"Juvenile jokes are some of the best kind."

[Will Stanton]

"Well, in that case, I'd hate to see the diagrams you'd draw up for the patent," Will laughed.

[Allison Rogers]

"I can be professional when I want to be. Doesn't mean there wouldn't be a second set of diagrams circulated in the office."

[Will Stanton]

"Note to self: order an X-Team Strike on the legal department, destroy all data."

[Allison Rogers]

She chuckled, "Unfortunately, I wasn't the one to draw up the original setup for this, so you're safe."

[Will Stanton]

"Phew," she said, wiping mock-sweat off of her brow.

"So, other then cleaning up my mess, how do you like Xaviers so far?"

[Allison Rogers]

"It's been a rough start, but I think I'm getting there."

[Will Stanton]

"Oh? Anything I can do to help?"

[Allison Rogers]

"Just a disagreement with the headmistress, nothing we couldn't smooth over."

[Will Stanton]

"Ahhh," Will said, knowingly.

[Allison Rogers]

"Everything okay on your end?"

[Will Stanton]

"With the headmistress, or just in general?"

[Allison Rogers]

"Either or."

[Will Stanton]

"Sam...er...Professor McManus' relationship has been a bit...complex," she acknowledged. "She's changed. I had a hard time accepting that, at first."

[Allison Rogers]

"The warrior goddess stuff?"

[Will Stanton]

"Yeah. I mean, I looked up to her when she was in the Avengers and whatnot, and I remind her of that every chance I get because I think it makes her feel old. Wasn't really expecting all the other stuff."

[Allison Rogers]

"Neither was I. That wasn't really within my frame of reference."
