The cool thing about living in a mansion was that the mansion still had some of the old features that belonged in a mansion. Like one of the window seats that Miranda currently occupied while looking out the window, her pencil tapping thoughtfully on her sketchbook.

One of Riot's "proxies", sporting a punk-rock aesthetic and matching blonde mohawk, sat down across from Miranda.

"j0," Riot says.

[Miranda Weaver]

"Excuse me?" Miranda asked in a manner she hoped indicated she didn't understand.

[Alexandria McDougal]

"Srry, my bag." Riot says. "Heyo's."

[Miranda Weaver]

"Oh, hello. My name's Miranda. I don't think I've seen you around."

[Alexandria McDougal]

Riot snorts, "Np. I p-p-pretty much don't leave my room."

"I'm Riot, btw. 16 f Essex.

[Miranda Weaver]

"You... lost me again."

[Alexandria McDougal]

"ASL?" Riot asks. "Age, se-s-sex, location?"

[Miranda Weaver]

"Umm... don't know... female... window seat in the mansion?"

[Alexandria McDougal]

"kk," Riot says. "Cool pic. U draw alot?"

[Miranda Weaver]

"Just getting started really... sort of."

[Alexandria McDougal]

"orly?" Riot says. "Is it h-hard to draw with your eyes all wrapped up?"

[Miranda Weaver]

"I can still see. It's my thing."

[Alexandria McDougal]

"OIC," Riot says. She pulls her legs up under her. "Cool. Cool, cool, cool."

"Like, are you bl-blind or something? Like fsking Daredevil, all doing radar sense shit?"

[Miranda Weaver]

"They called me a clairvoyant. I can see perfectly well though. Your hair is blond," she said, as if that was confirmation.

[Alexandria McDougal]

"Next are you g-g-gonna tell me what color my panties are? LOL, jk," Riot says, giggling. "Srsly tho', I can't make fun. I'm in teh same fscking boat. I h-h-have the amazing p-power to walk, even tho' my legs d-d-don't work."

[Miranda Weaver]

"You seem to be walking fine a bit ago."

[Alexandria McDougal]

"Yeah, but this isn't my real b-b-body," Riot says. "The real me is back in my room, flaming n00bs. I'm just a duplicate."

"So, I can totes walk even though I'm still stuck in a chair. w00t."

[Miranda Weaver]

"That's interesting," she said, tilting her head as she regarded the duplicate.

[Alexandria McDougal]

There was some sort of telepathic network that the proxy was a part of. However, the consciousness was evenly distributed between all of the copies and not centralized on any one of them. It was less like the proxies were puppets being controlled by someone and more like all of the bodies were different limbs of a single entity.

"Yeah, it's p. cool," Riot says.

"So, can you, like, see my future? I mean, that's what clairvoyance is, right?"

[Miranda Weaver]

"Miss Weaver says 'maybe', but I'm better at seeing the present than the future."

[Alexandria McDougal]

"Yeah? Like what all can you see?" Riot asks. "And d-d-don't go all p-pervo and pull the old 'tell me what color panties I'm wearing" shtick. LOL."

[Miranda Weaver]

Miranda looked hard at Riot and tried to figure out where the rest of her was.

[Alexandria McDougal]

There were four. One was in town. She was dressed like a shy girl in pigtails and appeared to be shoplifting from stores. One was in one of the dorm rooms, typing furiously on her computer. Finally, there was one dressed like a fashionable, preppy girl in the cafeteria, eating lunch.

[Miranda Weaver]

"There's..." She squinted, though it was hard to tell under the binding. "Four of you in total right now."

[Alexandria McDougal]

"FM, that's teh awesome!" Riot says.

[Miranda Weaver]

"I'm not sure exactly how I know that."

[Alexandria McDougal]

"Who cares? It's kickass," Riot says.

[Miranda Weaver]

"So, if one of you eats, do you all get full?"

[Alexandria McDougal]

"Idk, sort of?" Riot says. She looks thoughtful. "I guess, but the m-m-more of us there r, teh more we need to eat."

[Miranda Weaver]

"That's pretty... well... I don't know the right word, but it's something."

[Alexandria McDougal]

"<3"

"So, what do ya see when u look at other peeps?" Riot asks. "Anything c-cool? Or, idk...oh! Wut about teh teachers?"

[Miranda Weaver]

"Most of the time, I just see people," she said with a shrug.

[Alexandria McDougal]

"Lame!" Riot says. She throws up her arms in mock frustration, tumbling out of her seat and onto the ground. She doesn't seem to be bothered by this. In fact, she appears to be laughing.

"ROFL, jk. It's still p-pr-pretty cool."

[Miranda Weaver]

"You're strange" is Miranda's only comment.

[Alexandria McDougal]

"WTF? Of course I'm strange, I'm a m-m-mutant," Riot says. "We're all about strange."

Riot thumps her chest, "Mutant pride, j0."
