The girl startled and tensed, but relaxed when she realized who it likely was.

The bear stopped and tilted its head, regarding her for a moment. Then it started making a coughing sound reminiscent of a cat with a hairball before the mass receded and left a human Mary Ann dressed in a training uniform to stand up from an awkward four-legged position. "Hi."

"Everything just feels kinda... wrong."

"Everything smells kind of off too," she said. "Though that may just be the pothole fixes the maintenance crew was doing earlier."

She chuckled wearily.
"You know what I mean, though."

"I sort of do. I mean, things don't process the same way when I'm all fuzzy. Brain prioritizes differently. It feels weird."

"I've been feeling like someone is behind me this whole time since it happened. It's really throwing me off."

"Behind you? That's weird." Mary Ann turned her head to look, though she didn't expect to see anything.

"I guess? I don't know. Maybe it helps her underwater or something, but it just feels weird on the land."

"Well, if you don't know, maybe ask her about it? She might be able to help," Mary Ann tried to be helpful.

"Or off the pier. Or share a Danger Room with someone. I'm sure it can do two things at once."
