Issue 1 Downtime

After they transferred her to Maldon, Natalya had settled into a room in the infirmary as best she could with limited mobility. Currently, she was settled into a wheel chair in the garden, having talked one of the staff into wheeling her out. One of her constructs was wrapped around her forearm and she petted it idly with her free hand.

Off in the distance a figure takes flight from the top of the lighthouse and slowly glides down towards the grounds, eventually setting down in the garden nearby. Nailah takes a moment to straighten her clothes before continuing towards the mansion. Spotting Natalya she stops for a moment and changes directions, walking over.

"Good afternoon. You must be Agent Romanov."

"Just Natalya is fine. You must be Professor Weaver. I think I saw you at the Institute once or twice when Apocalypse decided to make a fool of himself, but we never had a good chance to talk."

"Nailah, yes. And things were a little hectic then. Not that circumstances seem to be perfect right now... Are you recovering well?"

"Feels like a lifetime. I was barely out of high school when I was signed up with SHIELD. I got involved with bad people and did some bad things, got busted for it and SHIELD gave me a way out."

"Not so much the construction itself but there were some things that had to go along with it." she nods.

"Mark would be an understatement when you talk about anything involved with the Phoenix Force." She spread her fingers and the ice snake slid up and laced through her fingers. "So using it for the old purpose or is it just new office space?"

"Both. Though admittedly I wouldn't exactly call my room there an office. We're still setting things up, but in theory it is fully restored."

"Occasionally." she nods. "Though recently I spooked some of the highschool kids, so I've had a bit more peace and quiet there."

"We had a little run-in with Kraven and I went a tad... feral for a while. And then tried to teach class on all fours as a 400 pound sphinx."
