Late night at the bus stop

Connor yawned as he got off the bus, grumbling something about having to have waited for the bus because 'some sorry sod couldn't be arsed to give a mate a ride.' He lit a cigarette as the bus pulled away, taking a moment to let the cold air wake him up a little before he started the hike across the campus.

Connor might notice a figured bundled up in one corner of the bus stop "MMMMPPHHH" it said "Why don't 'm legs work?"

"I dunno." Isabel replied "Went to a club, made some new friends, one of them gave me something to try and now I can't feel my legs."

"Oh bloody 'ell, what'd he give you," Connor said, turning her face up toward him to check how her eyes were reacting.

"It was a pill." Isabel said "White, or pink maybe. It was pink. Yeah, pink" her pupils were wide and dilated.

"Oh 'ell. C'mere, let's get you out of here before someone sees you," he said, shaking his head as he scooped her up, trying to make sure she didn't flop bonelessly or anything.

"I 'ave no bleedin' idea," Connor said. "'Less you don't care who sees you like this. Then I can just take ye to see a doctor ye have to work with or take you back to your room to roommates ye have to live with."

"Yeah, an' if you didn't think that was a bad idea, ye'd want me taking ye to the health center right now."

"Yeah, either way, yer not workin' tomorrow, luv," he grunted as he shifted her around in his arms enough to hold her one-handed while he opened the door to the dorms. "We'll give 'em a call in the morning when ya sound more normal."

"Aye, and you can sleep it off at my place. Ya don't need yer roommates tellin' the headmistress that yer coming back pissed and stoned," he said, kicking open the door to his hall.

"Ok." Isabel said "If you try anything I'll.....bugger, I don't have any major injuries......so I'll scream. Just so you know."

"Yes, that'll make you look really bloody sympathetic. 'Help! This bloke's making sure I don't overheat or dehydrate or start siezing from whatever the hell was in that pill I was daft enough to let some bugger give me!'"

"I am not daft." Isabel protested.

"You got pissed and took a pill that some bloke you just met gave you and don't even know what it is. Yes, I think we can safely say you were daft tonight, luv," he said, shifting her into one arm again and wrestling to get his keys out to unlock his door.

"Right. My mistake," he said, rolling his eyes as he carried her through the room. "Gonna remember in the morning that pills are all color coded like that," he said, sound utterly amused, as he set her down on his bed.

"Yeah, well, I'm not carrying you around all bloody night. Can you move enough to change, or you going to have to sleep the way you are?" he asked, shrugging off his jacket to hang it up.

"I can sleep like this, if you can get my shoes off."

Can't move enough. Got it. "Right," he said, kicking his own shoes off, then (surprisingly carefully) getting hers off of her. "Arright, scoot over," he said, not really giving her a chance to do it (since he figured she couldn't) before he lifted her up and scooted her over to the side of the bed against the wall. "Glad you're bloody tiny," he muttered as he climbed in next to her.

"Yeah, well, you're not going to be feeling cold for a while," he said, looking around. "Oh, yeah" he said, getting up and pulling down the blinds, then going out to the bathroom for a minute. When he came back, he'd changed into shorts and had a rather large glass of water. "Here, down with it. 'M not going to be awake all bloody night, so we're making sure you don't dehydrate right bloody now."

"What, because 'm making sure you don't die? I'll take yer word for it," he mused, setting the empty glass next to the bed.

"Yeah, an' yer not ganna wake up in a bloody bus stop, either," Connor muttered as he settled in to sleep. He woke up a few times during the night to make sure she seemed all right (for a sleeping drunk)' but after that passed out until morning.
