Issue 1 Downtime

Raven was trying to find her way through the labyrinth. Again.

She wasn't very good at this.

“Are you lost?” came a voice from behind her.

When she looked she would see Nash and ... something with him. It looked rather odd, a squat cylinder with four wheels around its base.

"No! I'm, um, exploring! Away from the exit," she said, not very convincingly.

Huh? Does she not want to admit she is lost.

“Well, I guess you're doing better than this guy here.” he motioned towards the contraption he had with him.

"Ooh! What is it?"

“It's a robot, but this is just the base. I'm trying get it to be able to find its way around on its own but It isn't working too well.”

"Well, does it, like, have eyes?"

“Well, yes, but not exactly. It sees using ultrasonic sensors. ”

Raven blinked.

"It uses sound waves to see where its going... like a bat."

"Oooooh! Like a bat! That's cool."

“The using sound waves to see part seems to be working fine. It supposed to be using that data to make a map and that part isn't working. I'm guessing there's a bug in that part of the programing or something.”

"...I think there's someone here on campus who knows about bugs."

Hmm, I wonder who that is, should I ask her? Wait she's probably talking about one of those biologist that specializes in insects, what ever that is called.

“I'll try to figure it out on my own, if not then I can look for help.”

"Well, best of luck to you, then!"

“I guess I'll be heading out then. Nice talking to you.”
