It takes her a moment to realize fur has turned into blond locks, then she awkwardly pulls her hand away.

"Oh, hey, welcome back..."

It took Mary Ann a bit to register the change. "Oh, hi. Thanks." She sat up and started to stretch, but stopped and winced, "Ow."

"Well, my jaw is sore," she said, "but my back hurts... well... hurts and stings." She tried to look over her shoulder to look at her back, having no luck.

"Sorry 'bout the jaw... I have no idea what the hell was up with those spikes though." she says, taking a look at Mary's back.

Where the two piece training uniform hadn't covered, there was a vaguely human-shaped (though no longer human-sized) pattern of welts, probably from where the spikes had gotten her. "Is that what happened? I remember some stuff stabbing me in the back and then everything went... well... red."
