Woods - So Much Left Unspoken

[Theresa McMasters]

Theresa had retreated to the woods late in the evening. It wasn't exactly the most natural of settings, but it was as close as she was going to get without leaving campus and she wasn't exactly comfortable doing that. She breathed in the cooler night air and knelt next to one of the trees. She closed her eyes and then opened them again, glowing with green energy. Her breathing slowed and she opened herself to the world, getting a sense of what was around and communing with nature for a bit, both external and the wild animal pacing internally.

After a while there was another presence moving through the forest, making it's way towards Theresa.

[Theresa McMasters]

Theresa noted the presence, tracking it slightly. She continued to breathe deeply, holding her hands out to the side.

[Vertie Easley]

The presence stopped a handful of feet from Theresa. Vertie was 'welcome' in the wood. The living 'minds' were content and passive having her there, she was no threat. "Hi there." She said with a smile. "Seen a hedgehog recently?"

[Theresa McMasters]

Theresa brought her hands back to her knees, "Not recently, no. But I'm glad you wandered by."

[Vertie Easley]

"Oh?" She moved and took a seat beside Theresa. She began to take inventory of her large pockets and smiled at Theresa.

[Theresa McMasters]

"I wanted to apologize for my attitude the other evening. My girlfriend and I were having some issues and I took it out on you."

[Vertie Easley]

"And have you sorted 'everything' out?" She asked in that magical "I told you so" tone.

[Theresa McMasters]

"I'm sure there will still be a few clashes, but Murphy and I patched things up."

[Vertie Easley]

"Of course." She smiled again. "Being human too, it doesn't always have to end in a fight. Though sometimes that's what it takes."

[Theresa McMasters]

"Yeah, I can see that. Brigid and I settled it with staring and growling. She backed down."

[Vertie Easley]

Vertie nodded. "A good start and since you know where you stand with your mate and alpha, things should settle into place elsewhere."

[Theresa McMasters]

"One can hope. It's been a really rocky start for this pack."

[Vertie Easley]

"You're all stubborn." She chuckled.

[Theresa McMasters]

"All of us have abilities that require a lot of will to not screw up with. That tends to breed stubbornness."

[Vertie Easley]

"Well, you all need to stop being butt-heads." She stuck her tongue out at the older girl. "I really am glad you got yourself in a better place. Now, just need to get Jennifer to take this thing seriously."

[Theresa McMasters]

"I think that will come in time. Pushing her is only going to cause problems, I think."

[Vertie Easley]

"I'll stay out so long as her wolf stays chill. I just hope it doesn't take a "missing student", to get her to realize this isn't a game."

[Theresa McMasters]

"I have some faith in this group. I don't think it will come to that."
