Power: Constantine is a conduit for extra-dimensional energy. Whilst he has a near limitless supply of energy to draw from, there is a limit to how much he can safely draw on without damaging himself, although this will increase with practice. Due to the circumstances of his power manifestation, he has to think of his powers as "spells" in order for them to work. Mostly these focus from his hands, such as creating shields or offensive blasts, he also has a couple of other tricks such as being able to fly or drop from a great distance without hurting himself. Finally, the extra-dimensional energy that's always present in his body clouds his mind from both astral detection and psychic influence

Personality. Although reformed from his earlier life destroying ways, Constantine is still far from a perfect student. He has two major loves in his life, heavy metal and fantasy novels, anything else comes a distinct second to these two, although he does have a penchant for tequila.

Description: A slim but still muscled, particularly the arms, Constantine stands 6'2" tall With long hair and heavily tattooed arms, he looks like the metal head he is. Generally dressed in black, with heavy work boots and whatever logo'd t-shirt's caught his eye recently, along with a duster coat. Due to a subconcious manifestation of his powers, both his hair and coat frequently appear windblown, even indoors.

Background: Constantine had a troubled upbringing, in and out of various foster homes. When he was 12 he fell in with a local gang, quickly developing a taste for drugs and bad behaviour, terrorizing local residents and frequently getting in trouble with the police. By 13 he'd gotten his first ASBO and was working as a runner for a local dealer, getting paid in drugs. It was during one particularly heavy trip that his powers first manifested, a combination of hallucinogens and a love of fantasy fiction leading him to believe they were "magic". After this event, his tearaway lifestyle continued, as did his steady succession of foster parents and schools. When he was 15, the authorities took a step that was to turn his life around. Decided that removing him from the local area and re-fostering him somewhere else, he was shipped south, to foster parents that finally understood him. Arranging to get him into the BRIT school, despite his previous record, literally saved his life from the downward spiral of drugs and violence it had been descending in as he found salvation in the performing arts. After a year working as a session musician/guitar tech at a local stuido, he's enrolled at XLU to not only to get a degree but also to finally understand his powers.

Is the energy limited to kinetic effects? Blasts, flying, shields, absorbing impacts, etc?

No, it's more specific to each individual effect.

For example, he doesn't have a general absorb impact ability, it's a specfic survive falls thing. His shield "spell" would protect from more than just pure kinetic energy, but it's not omnidirectional, it's literally a shield projected from his hand.

But he can't say... transform a lorry into a duck, or make it rain, or read minds. It's all energy-based?

Much as I'd love to transform a lorry into a duck, it is all energy based, yes. He will be able to affect/resist purely psychic/astral beings with the correct "spell" though.

Right, just one more question, really. Is the mind clouding effect a full block, or just makes it harder for psychics to get in there? Or is it more of a concealment thing?

It's very difficult, but not totally impossible to spot him astrally. He's not as resistant to psychic attack but substantially more resistant than normal
