Name: Terra Miller
Codename: Horizon
Age: 35
Country of Origin: United Kingdom
Power: Terra has the ability to alter the gravitational force between objects. Altering gravity in this way changes the subjective gravity for at least one of the objects. For example, a person who was attracted to a wall would perceive gravity as though the wall were the ground while a person being repulsed by the wall might perceive gravity as pulling in the opposite direction. When using a large body like the Earth, she can increase or decrease gravity in a radius of about 10' around herself, but doing so precludes other manipulations.
Terra's body adjusts to gravitational force easily allowing her to operate in high gravity or low gravity environments with fewer problems.
Terra's manipulation ability also allows her to fly. She can move objects with her, but finds moving people to be problematic as the constant gravitation adjustments she makes tend to be very disorienting to everyone but herself.
Personality: Terra seems to be a very focused individual when working on a problem or puzzle, but she becomes more open when pulled away from her work.
Description: While Terra's stature is small, she's full-figured and exercise seems to do little to change that. She has shoulder-blade length, semi-curly blond hair and blue eyes. Regardless of the rest of her attire, she typically wears a brown leather bomber jacket that belonged to her father.
Background: Terra was born in Lincoln to military parents. Growing up, Terra wanted to be in the military like her mother and father. When the emergence of her mutant abilities eliminated that possibility, Terra refocused her efforts into science and math. Her studies eventually left her with a Bachelor's degree in math and physics. She taught both subjects in schools for a while, finishing up her Master's and Doctoral work in physics as she worked. Now that she's finished, she's come to teach at Xavier's, both handling some college physics classes and providing math and physics help to the high school students.
