DT2 - Arrival, Phryxus Main Docking Port

[Rick Ferguson]

Rick was a bit surprised by the entertainment options. "Cool stuff. Looks like if we get bored while we're up here, it'll be our own fault."

[Narrator]

The caretaker shrugs. "You'll be surprised what being isolated at L4 does to you. Normally there are only eight of us. You make quite an addition to the community."

"Of course, you won't be staying long, so it won't really have time to affect you, but trust me, this stuff keeps us more or less sane."

He chuckles. "Anyway, next stop, the refining and processing areas. After that, the area you'll be working in. Asteroid Recovery." The Caretaker exits the lounge and continues Spinward.

[Madrox Saavedra]

"That stuff keeps us sane on Earth too," he smirked.

[Narrator]

"On earth, you have more than eight people to talk to."

He heads down the hall, past some doors marked with orange lines. "Don't open these, ever. They lead to the industrial areas of the facility, which a lot more radiation exposure than the living areas."

"Finally, up here we have the Asteriod Recovery area. We won't go in, because most of the facility requires vacuum suits, but when we ask you to gather up, this is the spot. You'll have an hour to put your gear away and get settled, acclimated to the environment a little more. Then please come here, and we'll get started."

[Rick Ferguson]

Rick nodded to him and headed back to the guest quarters.

Rachel headed out and stowed her gear in one of the tiny rooms.

Following the others Kat dumps her stuff in her 'room'.

[Narrator]

As everyone is stowing their stuff, a man in some light silk shorts and nothing else steps out of the shower area. His ears are pointed, and his hands aren't human at all, they're eight fingered, four pairs of fingers 90 degrees apart on a central disc.

"Oh, I didn't realize it was today that we were getting the college kids. Welcome to Phryxus."

[Madrox Saavedra]

Madrox stepped out from his closet room as the man exited the shower area.

"Thank you. Some place you have here."

[Narrator]

"It's alright. Good opportunity to see space." He holds out a hand. He's pretty athletic, much more so than the caretaker was.

"I'm Flux."

[Madrox Saavedra]

He returned the handshake.

"Madrox, or Talos if you prefer."

[Narrator]

The handshake is weird, but Flux has had plenty of practice with shaking hands.

"You're an Android. Amazing."

[Madrox Saavedra]

He blinked.

"Technopath?"

[Narrator]

"No, quantum level teek." He smiles. "Sorry, didn't mean to pry, it was just surprising to find out that you're mostly non-organic."

[Madrox Saavedra]

"It's quite alright," he chuckled. "Quite fitting I get this assignment, no?"

[Narrator]

"Certainly. Stop me if I'm being rude, but you're pretty amazing."

[Madrox Saavedra]

"It's hard to be insulted by flattery," he smirked.

[Narrator]

"So are you all ready for your EVA? I'm pretty excited, I've been itching to get at that big asteroid we have parked outside the station."

[Kathrin Schmidt]

"Sure."

And after a short pause. "What's eeh vee ay?"

[Narrator]

Flux chuckles. "They didn't tell you? It's you kids outside in the hostile vacumn of space, wrestling with a big rock."

[Madrox Saavedra]

"Sounds fun," he grinned.

[Rachel O'Brien]

"Sounds awesome." Rachel said with an eager grin.

[Rick Ferguson]

"Sounds awesome." Rachel said with an eager grin.

At least for a week or so it does, Rick thought as he heard the conversation in his room.
